Lofta results. apap?

Post by Water » Mon Oct 07, 2024 6:35 am

Little background story , I'm 22y female 5'2 29bmi and I'm always tired the past few months it's became worse I've been dozing , I've gotten constant headaches and chest pain threw out the days , I woken up 3-6x a night , I went to a sleep doctor but he dismissed me .he said he doesn't believe I have osa since I'm young and a female ha , I ordered a test from lofta and I got the results said I had mild to moderate osa
Obstructive Sleep Apnea (G47.33) - Mild to Moderate based on pAHI=5.6, pRDI=16.5 and O2 nadir of 90%

I've decided to order a Apap , my headaches and chest pain has disappeared so has the dozing i wake up way less now which is nice ! still a bit tired but I heard that can last a bit . The resmed has been telling me that I've been having 0.7-1.4 events per hour not sure if that's good but almost all those events are central only had the machine for a few days now. I'm just not sure if buying a machine for mild apnea was the way to go

No I havnt yet but I really want to ha 😅. My first appointment with him was a month or 2 ago I forgot, my second follow up appointment is in December. He told me to sleep at a different time then my usual time so he wanted to do a follow up to see if my symptoms disappeared .
