I was banned for a bit this morning, while at the doctor's office.
Could not see a dang thing.
The reason given was spam.
Yikes! I have not had a bite of the stuff for years!
And never gave any out.
My gift of choice is brownies.
Bad for my blood sugar, but not so much if I share.

I was banned for spam even though I had never posted with this username.

I forgot my old one and it has been over a year since I was on here.

Earlier this year, I found out that I had been banned – 'for spam'. And then three days later, with no explanation, I found I'd been given full access again. I had to work at 'being zen' about it. But I'm OK now. 8)

When did you email me about being banned? I thought it was much earlier than this year.
In your situation I think I might have been the problem.....I blocked an IP address that was a for sure spammer and you were collateral damage. I unblocked that IP address as soon as I got your email. It's why I no longer target IP addresses of spammers.
So I don't know for sure that your banning earlier this year was the forum acting up or maybe my error. If you sent the email to me prior to this year....for sure it wasn't me this year.

I rarely log on these days but recently I did get spam-banned for a few days. I could still log on by turning off Wifi and using my cellular signal instead. Now I can log in with Wifi again.

I was banned yet again, at another doctor's office today.
It appears that spammers may be using these public wifi hot spots to do their dirty deeds.
Maybe that is why some docs no longer offer wifi.
Thanks to some stinkers, we can't have nice things.
Our home wifi is password protected--I encourage others to do the same.
