I just received a Philips Respironics Recall Replacement DreamStation: What does Recertified Device mean?
I just received a Philips Respironics Recall Replacement DreamStation AutoCPAP DOM:
Q: What does Recertified Device mean?
While we're looking at the label on the bottom....
a. Also, what does "DOM" mean (after the serial number)?
b. And what does (MR) mean with a red line through it, as in "NO MR" (in red, on the label)?

DOM is Date of Manufacture
Have no idea what the "No MR" thing is.
Have no idea what Respironics actually might have done to meet "recertified device" criteria.
Maybe someone else knows about the stuff I don't know about.

I Googled "No MR" relative to device labeling. I think it means that the device can not be used where there is a presence of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

"No Mr", is what Ms. Dog Slobber routinely says to me.

That makes sense. Thanks.
I found out what "Recertified Device" means. It means it's a used machine!
https://www.philips.ca/healthcare/e/sle ... nformation
https://www.philips.com/c-dam/b2bhc/mas ... n-5-us.pdf Mine, received just yesterday, already has 2,545.1 hours on it before I even used it for one second! (They only replaced the blower motor, which has 0.0 hours on it.)
Re: I just received a Philips Respironics Recall Replacement DreamStation: What does Recertified Device mean?
"Rectified Device" means that Philips Respironics certifies that they corrected the recall issue. Of course, you have to trust them.

Re: I just received a Philips Respironics Recall Replacement DreamStation: What does Recertified Device mean?
Just to be clear, that's technically right but there's more to the story.
I found out later that it's a used machine that has had the blower (and air passages) replaced.
I didn't know that when I asked at first but I found it out later as shown in the cites above.
Recertified fundamentally means it's a used machine.
Drat.

Thanks for looking that up for the team.
I noticed my ResMed also has the no MR so this is probably pretty standard stuff.
Thanks. Much appreciated your kind assistance.

For a used machine, I would recommend Secondwindcpap.com.
Their prices are more in line with what you get.
Respironics is simply jerking around instead of giving REFUNDS.
How in the FH do they get away with this crap?
