Resmed AC/DC converter doesn't work with Airsense 11 power jack
Resmed AC/DC converter doesn't work with Airsense 11 power jack
Last October I was upgraded from an Airsense 10 to an Airsense 11.
I've gone camping with my Airsense 10 before. To that end I bought the Resmed AC/DC converter and a lead acid battery. Worked great.
I'm going camping this coming weekend, and I realized that the output power plug of the converter doesn't match the input power jack of the Airsense 11. The former looks kind of like a small male coax; the latter is some weird thing that looks kind of like an HDMI jack but smaller. (I'm using "coax" and "HDMI" as visual descriptors only; of course they're not coax or HDMI.)
Does this mean I'd have to purchase a new converter to use with the Airsense 11? Or is there a simple adapter I can string between the two?
For this weekend I can use my old Airsense 10 I guess. Kind of don't understand why they had to change the power jack on the 11.

There are these "ResMed AirSense 11 Cable Kit for Medistrom Pilot-24 Lite" which look like what I'd need, except that the "coax" part is male, but I'd need female.

Here's a page of what you need:
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=resmed+11+dc ... _sb_noss_2
Beware of the ones without the 'brick', these are meant for 24volt supply, your battery is 12v, you need the dc-dc brick in between. If you're real handy with soldering etc you could strip wires, splice, adapt etc... why bother? You will get more time on the battery out of the 11 since it uses less power.

Thanks so much for the detailed reply!. No, don't know much about striping and splicing, certainly not soldering!vandownbytheriver wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 7:17 amBeware of the ones without the 'brick', these are meant for 24volt supply, your battery is 12v, you need the dc-dc brick in between. Re: Resmed AC/DC converter doesn't work with Airsense 11 power jack
Once you have the new DC-DC adapter in hand, make sure it works with the same battery you used with your Airsense 10. Mine does not. It seems to require more voltage than the 12-volt scooter battery provides.

That's weird. I just bought the Resmed converter for the Airsense 11, and it supposed to work with a 12V battery. I was planning on using the same battery I used before. (Deep cycle, 35 amp hours, 12V)loggerhead12 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 5:25 pmOnce you have the new DC-DC adapter in hand, make sure it works with the same battery you used with your Airsense 10. I'd be super-curious to hear about the results of your first test.
