Many thanks. I had Easy Breathe confused with a different kind of setting.vandownbytheriver wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 6:35 pmYou can't turn off Easy Breathe in vAuto... it's part of the mode IIRC. Pretty sure they won't like it without EB.

YW! I just discovered this last week... I was using vAuto in the 'non-auto' mode, 21/17 PS4... then I thought 'that should be same as S mode' so I tried it... very pushy with the pressure! After turning on EB it all went back to normal. I'm assuming the Philips BiPAP machine I was titrated on had a similar setting, Flex or whatever.Miss Emerita wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 10:25 amMany thanks. Re: Feel worse going from cpap to bipap
When you say it seems like the AIRcurve VAuto (bi-level) machine is trying to force your breathing, do you mean that it feels like the machine is encouraging you to inhale sooner and/or deeper than you want to? In that case changing the Trigger and Cycle settings from Medium to High or Very High may help.mda74 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 1:16 pmThe main reason was for my Dr to try and get me to higher levels. But from what my body is telling me, it does not like the separate inhale/exhale pressure of a BIpap. Physically and psychologically it feels forced to me. Like the machine is telling me when/how to breathe. Everyone is different.. that's just my feeling so far.
If it feels like the machine is preventing you from inhaling as soon or as deep as you want to, then changing the Trigger and Cycle setting to Low or Ver Low may help.
