My Autoset 10 apparently turned off for 15 seconds and then turned back on by itself early this morning. I woke up out of a dream feeling like I was being suffocated right about at the time it turned back on. I looked at the data in Oscar, and it clearly shows a 15 second dropout in the data, similar to events on other nights where I had turned it off manually and back on a few minutes later to use the bathroom. I have autostart set to OFF, so I don't believe it should be turning itself off or on spontaneously. This machine has about 7000 hours on it. There are no errors anywhere that I can see. I thought we might have lost power for a few seconds, but none of the clocks in the house appeared to get reset, and 15 seconds should have been enough to do that.
Anyone seen this before? Obviously I'll keep an eye on it. If it makes a habit of this I'm going to have to replace it.
Thanks,
Jim

You likely had a power disruption.
When a running AirSense has power removed, it will always return to the running state. This is independent of the state of the SmartStart setting.
Check to ensure power cable is seated properly in outlet, power brick and device.

Check the plug. Mine was plugged in behind the bed and I didn't realize the outlet was pretty loose. When we'd move around in bed it was just enough movement to jiggle the plug and disrupt the power momentarily. Moving it to a better outlet solved the problem.

Re: Resmed Autoset 10 turned itself off and on
I think you guys are correct. I did a couple tests. A very short power interrupt, pull power plug and plug right back in, results in the machine resetting and coming back on. It takes right around 15 seconds to start blowing air. I suspect a momentary power interrupt. It was a rather rude awakening, if our power makes a habit of dropping out like that I will look into a UPS to hole up the circuit.

Re: Resmed Autoset 10 turned itself off and on
After I had my first "rude awakening" because of a power failure, I decided never again.
I was in possession of a 32ah battery power station, but they don't help for contiguous power, for unexpected loss.
I ended up buying EcoFlow Delta 2:
I recommend a DC-DC converter for planned outages. DC extends capacity. But AC chord when using as an EPS (most of the time) so that it draws off grid instead of batteries to extend life of battery.

I ended up buying EcoFlow Delta 2:
- Con: Expensive
- 1024 Wh
- uses EPS vs UPS.
- UPS draws off battery, therefore no delay with power failure. Essential for a lot of electronic / computer. UPS also provides line-conditioning.
- EPS draws from grid, there is a 30ms delay (this delay does not affect CPAP use) therefore batter life is extended dramatically. EPS does *NOT* provide line-contitioning
