I'm a terrible mouth breather and found that a cpap + nasal pillow mask + tape + "front" cervical collar was the best option for me.
I use an "Eliminator" pillow (https://www.amazon.com/Eliminator-Washa ... eep+Pillow) which is kind of a "half/front" cervical collar. It's actually a crucial part of my personal sleep routine now to prevent my neck from tucking.
But now my Eliminator is falling apart/getting very gross and it seems the company has gone out of business. I think there was a similar product Dr Dakota that is also out of business (website is down, out of stock on every website I could find). So does anyone know of a front cervical collar option that is available in the US? Would be nice if it had options for different sizes/adjustable size, and venting. Otherwise I'll try to DIY one myself. My biggest complaint about the Eliminator was that it's too short and not quite angled the best way to press against the chest, but definitely an improvement over a regular cervical collar that is clunky/claustrophobic/warm, and interfered with sleeping on my side.
The eliminator was also good as a travel pillow. Was good at keeping my head from flopping about while sleeping. Good to get more utility out of your cpap gear.

Why not just use a regular collar? They can be adjusted loosely - just enough to keep the chin from falling to the inside of the collar. Cheap, simple.

I've tried a regular collar before and found it ineffective - was hard to get it just right to be loose enough to be comfortable while also preventing the chin from falling inside. They also felt hot due to lack of venting, and the constriction on the side made it hard to sleep on the side (even when loose). Felt like it was crinking my neck. The eliminator was a big step in the right direction compared to a regular collar so ideally would like to find a solution that is similar or better than it.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 12:06 pmhttps://www.amazon.com/KEEPMOV-Memory-F ... op?ie=UTF8
