Evora Full hose

Post by Doug11 » Mon Aug 21, 2023 3:40 am

Hi, I’m near here. I switched to the Evora Full a couple months ago and am overall satisfied. I’ve tried many diff ent masks that inevitably either leaked too much or were too uncomfortable to wear the whole night. Since switching to the Evora both of those are much better. But the Evora Full does have its Achilles tendon, the hose that connects the mask to the tube coming off the machine. The connecting port going into the mask is simply snapped in. Several times it has happened to me that it accidentally gets ripped out when I roll over. The loud gush of air wakes everyone up in the room and your left frantically trying to reconnect the tube in the middle of the night. Each team me it gets ripped out the looser the connection becomes. That’s not really productive. The connection is not a swivel joint so I don’t understand why they designed it as a snap in connection that can be fairly raisiny and accidentally undone? But, I have found a cure. I’m sure that most of you who have had the same problem have figured it out as well. I simply put a couple tiny drops of super glue on the rim of the feed line and snap it backing to the mask. Since it’s not a swivel connection nothing is interfered with and it doesn’t accidentally come apart in the middle of the night anymore. Hopefully they’ll resolve that little problem going forward, but I’m the meantime the super glue works like a charm. Hope that helps someone.

That's disappointing and a good reason to switch to the ResMed AirFit F30i FFM. It has a swivel attachment. And the hose connects to the "headgear" where it doesn't pull on the mask. Since designs have improved, I will no longer use an FFM where the hose connects to the mask and tends to pull on it and cause leaks. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... -face-mask

If you insist on a hose connection on the mask itself, there is the ResMed AirFit F30i FFM. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... k-headgear I believe the hose connection swivels, but check with you supplier before purchasing.

That cure is worse than the disease. The mask has to be removed to take a potty break during the night.
