Hi All,
My mother was recently given a Trilogy for sleep apnea treatment.
She's needed a BiPAP for years and never used it. Part of the reason why is that she was unaware that she could get longer tubing that would allow her some freedom of movement or that she could try different masks to find a good fit. I'm also a BiBAP user (Dreamstation), and I buy non-Phillips parts all the time -- Resmed mask, Amazon tube, filters, etc, and it all fits. Interchangeable parts.
However, everything I see online makes the Trilogy and all its connected bits look pretty unique. My question is: will I be able to help her find what she needs to adapt to therapy and enjoy some success in her treatment, or does this Trilogy thing mean she's going to be stuck with whatever Phillips provides and to Hell with her comfort?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Jonathan

It seems to use any standard hoses and masks - https://sma-medical-supply.myshopify.co ... nd-masks-1
Have you checked Philips recall notice for that model?

As for the Philips notice; no. I presumed -- perhaps incorrectly? -- that the hospital wouldn't issue a recalled device?
(I'm still waiting for my replacement Dreamstation. They seem to be in no hurry to get that done ).

One can also presume that hospital bookkeeping is flawless--JonathanZK wrote: ↑Thu Jun 29, 2023 5:32 am. . . I presumed . . . the hospital wouldn't issue a recalled device . . .
Even though it is estimated that there are billing errors on as many as 90% of hospital bills.
---(I always examine my hospital statements, and errors are usually in favor of the hospital.)

Consider trying your non-Phillips parts on this Trilogy?JonathanZK wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2023 5:43 amI'm also a BiBAP user (Dreamstation), and I buy non-Phillips parts all the time

Re: Phillips Trilogy and Connected Parts
You need the external bacterial/viral filter attached directly
To trilogy ( this was the fix for the recall, ant least until patient are given new machines) and then the standard tubing. They are all 15mm adaptable. Anything beyond the standard length tubing can possibly diminish set pressures by the time it reaches the airway.
Otherwise the internal black sponge filter can be purchased an online as a generic.
