If it looks like the wait for your equipment will be too long, consider buying a lightly used Autoset. You can often find them for sale in this forum, on Craigslist, or on Facebook among other places. It is always recommended to have a backup/spare cpap in case yours stops working or gets damaged. In fact, it is a good idea to have a spare of everything you need to sleep and once you get used to cpap you won't want to sleep without it.
What is Resmed autoset ?

Doctor didnot write it

My insurnace is Aetna HMO and My DME is SuperCare Health and i live in san diego

I'm not sure, I understand the report, do you guys suggest to do a followup with the doctor ?
Do whatever you have to do in order to understand that report.

A follow up with both the sleep doctor and the psychiatrist may make things clearer. You have to understand what's going on with your sleep, and how you medications may affect you sleep stages, aka "sleep architecture".

You could also try to scan the report, black out or cut out any personal data (name, location doc's name etc.) and upload the scan to an image sharing site so we can all see it, and paste the link in your post.

Zonker is exceptionally good at that process, and I'm sure he'll be glad to help you.

I did wake up few times that right so maybe my sleep report is not right ?
Since sleep apnea afftects our memory and Dr visits seem to be a quick in & out I found it helpful to write notes in a notebook each morning when I woke up. I wrote about things that went well and things that need improvement. I made a point to get to bed 30 min early to make any changes for improvement I wrote about.

I used the same notebook to write questions for the doc as soon as I thought about them since if I didn't they would be gone by time I saw the doc. Write them all on one page and leave room under the question for the docs response. Most docs will pay more attention when they see you taking notes - it slows them down a bit.

ps. Dr.'s will only schedule a visit when your insurance will pay so get the most out of each visit.

I always bring notes to my doctor appointment.
Sometimes, he reads the notes, and we discuss the issues I wrote down.

It can also help to bring a friend or family member with you to the meeting with the doctor. They can take notes, and near the end of the appointment they can remind you of any questions you have that haven't come up.

Zonker, Ojo,

How can I upload my test results images in this website ?

I'll be traveling to India in 2 weeks and not sure if i will get my CPAP by then. Doctors office says it takes a 3/4 week mim - Is this typical ?

I have Aetna HMO insurance and there seems to be hold up on authorization on HMO and confusion with the DME

thanks again in advance.

it's easy when you know how!

first, i'm assuming you have this image saved on your computer as a jpeg or whatever.

next go to imgur.com and create a free account. then follow the instructions there for uploading your image to imgur.

once it's uploaded there, click on it. you'll be given quite an array of choices for what to do with your image. they will line up on the right hand side of your image. the choice you want to make is "BBcode". you'll see text that says "Copy". left click on that. this has now enabled you to copy the image over here to the forum. imgur.com has now structured the image so that our forum will be able to display it.

come back here to cpaptalk.com. go ahead and start your post (by the way, please do that right here in this thread). when you are ready to have the image show up, pick a new line and put your cursor there. right click and choose "paste as plain text". and it will, by golly, show up in your post as mine does below-

if any of what i just typed strikes you as gobbledy gook or something doesn't make sense, please ask.

good luck!

I'd just like to suggest to you that on the other side of figuring all these early details out, it is reasonable for you to expect good things from treating your sleep apnea. Healthy sleep is so important to not only our physical well being, but mental also. The stress hormones that come along with sleep apnea will not be tormenting you. You will want to stay in tune to any symptoms that could indicate a change in your meds is needed. I hope you can welcome this diagnosis as a piece of a successful treatment program. After you've settled in to you cpap treatment I hope you'll stop by and let us know how it's going.
