My post wasn't duplicate, even if the content was very similar. I had been having a lot of problems with AHI, mask fit, dry mouth, and aerophagia for 2 years, and now I have an easy solution I want to share with others who may be in the same boat as me.Pugsy wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 6:00 pmI don't think so. I think the same thing got said because it was a new account post and he didn't see his first post because I hadn't seen it yet to approve it so he posted same stuff again but in a different thread.
That happens often...sometimes I delete the second and duplicate post when I see it but this time I was busy and just didn't think about it.

Re: Aerophagia and bievel machine
dear diary,
well it's been a minute as the kids today say. (they DO say that, don't they?) so thought i'd do a "in summary and conclusion" to these entries.
by the simple expedient of stretching out my "off arm" while side sleeping, i've eliminated my odd case of aerophagia. that is, while sleeping on my left side, my arm is stretched out and supported by a small pillow. i have two pillows so i can switch from side to side.
i've confirmed this by accidentally sleeping in my old well accustomed fashion. i have no idea why this malady started hitting me over the winter. my opinion is that i'm simply growing old
and all them flaps and such in my throat are just becoming "flappier".
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
however, i'm still fighting that discomfort i get in my biceps by side sleeping. have been experimenting with "deep heating" ointment with a covering of sterile pads held in place with an ace bandage. (gosh, i get to wear MORE stuff to bed. weeee.) i don't quite have the system down yet. mostly, i have the bandages either too tight or too loose. the couple of times of hitting the goldilocks zone show i'm on the right track.
however it struck me today to look at a different way of holding the ointment covered pad in place. after some fumbling about, i found-
https://www.amazon.com/FEATOL-Tendoniti ... 247&sr=8-8
i'm thinking of trying it sans the medication, just to see how it goes.
so that's it for this report. i'm going to post some charts but, really, if you've seen enough, just pass on by.
and thanks for y'all's help!
