Resmed 11 wakes me up with strong pressure and leaks

Hello everyone, hope you can shed some lights on my case. I was waked up by my Resmed 11 a couple of times a night, and each time when I waked up by it, I found the air pressure is high (14), and there is some leaks around my mask. AHI is 6.

If I setup the max pressure lower (12), above issue is almost gone, but my AHI goes up (10).

Any advice will be greatly appreciated, especially on how to prevent Resmed from waking me up during night with high pressure.

Where is your minimum pressure set at?

I set min pressure at 5.

Without any data, I'd guess your min should be 10, maybe more.

PS, 14 is far from 'strong', by lowering your max, you're preventing the machine from trying to stop your apneas, which is why your AHI is so bad.

As suggested, last night I turned up min pressure from 5 to 10, and max from 14 to 16, and attached is my Oscar diagram, not pretty. (somehow this board won't let me attach the diagram)

Maybe I should further change the min and max?

I have the same setup with recent upgrade to Airsense 10 to Aisense 11. I use RemZzzs Full Face Cpap Mask Liners to reduce the leaks. They are effective\ for me, but costly. When set a 5 min and 18 high ( recommended by new pulmonologist) I have leak issues. My median pressure is 12 and always used on Aircurve 10. If I set 12 min and 18 high leaks are minimum and my AHI is less than 2. At 5 -18 my AHI varies from 5 - 9 with excessive leaks. With Oscar you can see we what your median pressure looks like using the dotted line “med” … I then set my min at that or close to it. The constant upsurge to prevent the OA/CA tends to induce leaks … perhaps I move around more because of the constantly changing pressure. Pressure surges fro 5 to 12.. 15 the recedes back toward 5 then ramps up repeatedly. Set at 12 the pressure swings are only ~3 vs 10. I would give a higher min pressure a try… perhaps “sneekup” on it 8, then 10, then 12. Also try the Pressure relief of 1,2, or 3. You can change settings yourself.

I have observed an issue with the Airsense 11 that I had not seen with the 10. The F20 mask valve tends to open and shut with every breath when the min pressure is below 8-10… make a noise and makes the mask move up/down on my face. Seems a function of the valve on the f20 mask since I never had the Aircurve 10 at at pressure level lower than 10

I have already set at 3 for inhale/exhale difference, and believe the same that,upsurge of air pressure, not constant high pressure, are likely causing mask leaks, which in turn causes even higher pressure. Will bump up minimum pressure from 10 to 12, max at 18 (my median aire pressure from Oscar map is , and see how it works.

What the sellers don't tell you is that you can just chuck 'em in the wash after use, and reuse them over and over and over.

I don't know where you got the idea that leaks cause pressure to increase, because that is absolutely false.
Leaks don't affect the pressure the machine delivers until they get absolutely ludicrously large, at which point the machines will *REDUCE* the set pressure to try and get the mask to seal.
