I know, right!

Now if we can just figure out how to get the majority of the rest of my sleep that way I'd be a very happy camper.

WILL DO! ThanksRubicon wrote: ↑Fri Mar 31, 2023 6:12 amI could write up a summary and treatment plan exceptNotgivingupagain wrote: ↑Fri Mar 31, 2023 5:45 amBut shouldn't those meds stay active in my body for more than 5 hours?
I'M NOT THE ONE TAKING THESE THINGS!! YOU ARE!!
So your homework assignment is:
Determine the half-life of each drug (BFS coming);
Find out the best time to take them;
See if insomnia and/or sleep disruption is a side effect; and
Determine drug interactions (there's apps for this).
Actually, everybody here knew that already.Notgivingupagain wrote: ↑Fri Mar 31, 2023 7:58 am
I hope this portion on meds and insomnia helps others on this board with possible issues and their sleep quality.
Well, as a new member, I am very thankful that y'all have pointed me in a direction that may be VERY helpful. I wasn't always on meds, so I really need to figure out how to be on necessary medications while also on sleep therapy.Rubicon wrote: ↑Fri Mar 31, 2023 8:11 amActually, everybody here knew that already.Notgivingupagain wrote: ↑Fri Mar 31, 2023 7:58 am

And based on the NPSG 11/2019, you already had significant sleep disruption. So your compundment is compounded.Notgivingupagain wrote: ↑Fri Mar 31, 2023 7:58 amEvery single medication I am on has the side effect of insomnia! (So my med issue is compounded).
I told you there'd be a BFS!The worst culprit is my newest medication, the Aripiprazole (Abilify). ...It also has the highest 1/2 life, 75 hours!
Ummm, what is a BFS? (I really need a dictionary of the acronymsRubicon wrote: ↑Sat Apr 01, 2023 4:11 amAnd based on the NPSG 11/2019, you already had significant sleep disruption. Big F...ing Surprise.
Guess what one of the side effects of Abilify is?I spoke to my psych doctor's office after the call with the pharmacist. I can stop the Abilify (the highest insomnia culprit.) I did not take it last night.
You mean besides the insomnia?
Sorry not paying attention.
That's ok, it's early.Rubicon wrote: ↑Sat Apr 01, 2023 4:59 amSorry not paying attention.
