Luna G3 ramp

Post by Hawgfrog » Fri Mar 10, 2023 5:21 pm

Hello all,

I just recently was changed to bipap therapy. I got a Luna G3 25a and it’s working out great. The only issue I have is the ramp feature. During therapy how do you use the ramp feature? I’ve been turning it off and back on to get it to ramp. Is there a way to do that without turning it off? I tried hitting all the buttons but it doesn’t seem to work. Thank you

If it's like the Resmed or other similar machines, and you are e.g. someone who has trouble adjusting to the initial burst of air (that's relative for most) whose pressure settings are quite high when machine's turned on, you might want to set Ramp to e.g. #2 (of 3 settings) for 5-10 mins, or longer to get used to the flow, but in fact most of us just don't use it at all once we're used to our machines. Up to you.

unfortunately, not a lot of folk have any kind of luna machine.

i would suggest you do a google search to see what you can come up with.

good luck!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

The only way to restart ramp time after it has ended is to turn the machine off and then back on again.

Ok thanks. That’s kind of dumb. I’ll have to get used to that. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something. Thanks again.

How's it dumb?

If you need more ramp time just extend the ramp time if possible.

Ramp time and lower pressures are supposed to be for when we are awake and need time to adjust to the pressures.
You aren't supposed to be awake during the night and if you are then maybe other adjustments are needed.
