Hi. 3 months in and changed a bunch of settings along the way after reading stuff on here, like doing fixed pressure rather than variable. I'm thinking I need to go back to a variable pressure however as my flow limits are way high.
Thanks in advance

What were your earlier variable settings? And what led you to use a fixed pressure? How rested are you feeling during the day? And do you experience nasal congestion?

Hi,
I think my original variable settings were 4-12. I switched to fixed pressure after (maybe incorrectly interpreted) listening to Nikko's youtube videos regarding low AHI readings. I read it as- as long as your AHI readings are lower than 5, keep lowering your pressure.
I was never tired before sleep apnea diagnosis- my kids said I snored so I asked for a test. My results were "moderate" with 23 episodes/hr.
I occasionally use Flonase before I go to bed, but not the last few nights as my nose isn't really congested. I was just trying everything in this initial phase of therapy. I'm a big mouth breather so couldn't use the P10, even with taping. I like this current F30 mask, with a cover.
I have changed my machine back to variable pressure for tonight's adventure. Any other advice? bring it on. And thanks!

nikko is a quack. all he cares about is whoring on youtube for views, (and the money), and that's bad advicevespagirl wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 12:35 pmHi,

An AHI of 5 is bad, whoever decided to tell people that '5 is ok but 5.1 is bad' should be shot.
An AHI of 5 means that, on average, your sleep is interrupted every 12 minutes, if not more often because that 5 doesn't include other breathing issues, like snoring and flow limitations that also disturb your sleep.
Yeah, leave the max at 20 and keep raising the minimum pressure until your pressure line on the graph is fairly stable without a lot of increases and decreases.
