can I sell my unused cpap machine in Canada
can I sell my unused cpap machine in Canada
I have a brand new unused Philips Dreamstation 2 Cpap with one new nose mask and 2 lightly used full face masks from my previous recalled model that this unused one replaced. My severe sleep apnea has improved immensely since dropping weight from 278 pounds to 192, so I'm writing to ask if member LSAT would be interested in purchasing or reselling my machine.
Re: can I sell my unused cpap machine in Canada
But don't you think your problems will return if you stop using the machine? It doesn't cure anything - same as glasses don't - but as long as you use it every night you will feel much better the next day. I understand that losing weight is helpful, but it isn't everything.
But why would you need LSAT to sell your machine if you're up here? You could sell it yourself (theoretically) on Kijiji, Craig's List, your local paper, etc. etc.

Re: can I sell my unused cpap machine in Canada
I don't use a Cpap machine anymore; I barely used my original machine to begin with, and even when I did, it had little to no effect. I now fall asleep almost immediately at bedtime despite recent food intake and blue screentime, wake up refreshed, and no longer nod off behind the wheel while driving. I can breathe through my nose while sleeping, so I use such tricks as taping up my mouth to reduce snoring and dry mouth, and aligning my jaw with a neck brace while sleeping, as well as sleeping on my right side (not only to reduce snoring, but also to alleviate pressure on internal organs). As such, the machine and masks are just wasting space, and would be much more beneficial to someone else. Besides, I thought it was illegal to sell unprescrbed Cpaps privately through such sites as Kijiji and Craigslist.

I've bought and sold a few machines on kijiji and Facebook Market Place, you could also create a post to sell it here.

It would only be illegal for the doctor to do it - we're not at risk!
Loads of machines (and meds) are bought and sold all the time sans scripts, no problem.

With the exception of certain substances, as we all know.

Back in the day you could buy and sell cpap machines on Ebay. That got shut down so now here in the states Craigslist is the place to buy and sell CPAP machines. At any particular time there are at least 30 CPAP/APAP/BiPAP machines for sale locally on CraigsList. I have purchased and sold CPAP machines on CraigsList and haven't been put in jail yet.

If you do not intend to use cpap again, avoid mentioning it to your life insurance.

Besides, in Canada, isn't there a long qualification process and waiting list in order to qualify for jail?
Oh, wait, I think I may have that confused.
Never mind.
I once bought a machine (to use as backup) directly from someone I considered to have a good reputation in a forum. Turned out OK for me.
I have also in the past given a machine away to someone I considered to be in need.
There are options.
Just make you sure that you actually own what you sell or give away--that it isn't some kind of a rental, for example.

I hear you, granny.
After my surgery, using the toilet was way more challenging.
The cpap was a piece of cake.

I don't even need to use any of the tricks I previously discussed anymore. And, by the way, they were much easier for me to implement than ever becoming accustomed to using a Cpap machine.
