Just spray the inside with mild soap and wipe clean. That's it really. :)
No, it's not.
Well, she did say "just" spray it. I'm assuming she meant spray it but don't use it.
That's correct. I don't use mine at all. My husband uses his regularly as his brother, an FDA chemist, says they are safe. So I have kept mine in case his stops working. Back when I used mine, before I found the pap discussion boards, I never cleaned the inside of mine, but the OP asked how to do it, so I provided the answer, as he wants to clean his.

The first step in answering is to discern what the question should be. It's common for new members to ask the wrong questions.

I had a brother like that one time. Fortunately, momma put him up for adoption.

None of the above replies is helpful.

How do I clean the interior of a Soclean 2

I have not used my Soclean 2 in a log time,
Good, don't ever use it again.

but I don't know how to clean the interior of the Soclean 2.

Any hints?

Any and all help appreciated.
Throw it away, or demand a refund because it is a *DEFECTIVE PRODUCT*, it does nothing good and only causes harm to your machine, and possibly to you.
"Good, don't ever use it again."
You going to buy me a new sanitizer?

Your comments are not helpful. I asked about cleaning the interior. If I had asked about reviewing the SoClean 2, they might have been. I didn't. They are not.

I now hesitate to ask other questions on the forum since the evidence is that most don't answer the questions that are asked.

Maybe try the Soclean forum. That particular device elicits strong reactions here. I wouldn't judge the quality of responses to future questions by this thread.

Hell no, because they're a scam, a waste of money, and *WILL* damage your equipment, and possibly your lungs.

Oh, yes they are. Just because they aren't what you want to hear doesn't mean they're not both accurate AND helpful.

Well, if you're not willing to listen to knowledgeable advice, then perhaps it is better if you go somewhere that you'll get told what you want to hear, not the truth.

Why not simply contact Customer/Technical support at SoClean? You'll get a proper answer to your question (or the one you want to hear).
US 800 number, free call.......
https://www.soclean.com/uk/about-us/contact-us

The manual does mention cleaning.....
"CARE AND MAINTENANCE
OF YOUR SOCLEAN 2 DEVICE
Wipe down the SoClean 2 with a damp cloth. The
Neutralising pre-wash should only be used to clean
your PAP equipment following the manufacturer’s
instructions.
WARNING: Do not submerge or fill the SoClean
device with water!
The SoClean Check valve and Cartridge filter should
be replaced every 6 months. A reminder message
on the display will appear after approximately six
months, depending on usage.
To reorder supplies (Cartridge filter, Check valve
or Neutralising pre-wash), contact your authorised
reseller or visit SoClean.com and search for the
desired part.
If the SoClean has been dropped or visibly
damaged, or if cracks in the tubing or enclosure
are noticed, stop using the SoClean and contact
Customer Service."

Also remember to frequently wash your mask and headgear in warm soapy water (Dawn dish liquid works well) to remove the facial oils and salts from masks cushion surface and headgear fabric which are not removed by the SoClean.
It also may be desirable to wash the mask and headgear prior to the use of the SoClean, as the article linked below suggests the reaction of ozone on skin oils may produce airborne pollutants

The human body and health are very complicated matters. If all questions asked here were given straightforward answers without any consideration of the context, this forum would not be the big success it is.

You should be glad the answers you received referred to the bigger context.

As much as you think this is your topic and you get to control the content, that's not how it works.

These topics are for the benefits of all members and guests who might stumble into it.

The amount of evidence that demonstrates SoClean is:
  • unnecessary
  • harmful to equipment
  • potentially dangerous to those around them during use
  • incompatible with many materials
So much so, that the FDA and CPAP equipment manufactures (ResMed, Respironics, more?) have specifically instructed users to not use them.

Unfortunately, many have still not gotten the message. If any new CPAP users should stumble into this topic and learn that there are some potential hazards, then that's a good thing.

Just because you made an idiotic decision, and are overly sensitive to doesn't mean others have to as well.

I now hesitate to ask other questions on the forum since the evidence is that most don't answer the questions that are asked.
Fine, leave, nobody's holding a gun to your head to stay. And no, the evidence does not show that most don't answer questions asked.

But then again, given your SoClean purchase, evaluating evidence isn't your strong suit.

So your husband chooses to listen to a FDA "chemist" instead of the FDA themselves who say not to use ozone machines?

YOUR COMMENTS ARE NOT HELPFUL.
I asked a question. You either can't or won't answer it, and you seem to think you know all about CPAP sanitizers.
I asked a question. I obviously wanted to get an honest answer. The answer is I can basically swab out the SoClean interior, the same as the long CPAP tubing.
And for your information, not that it is any of your business, or any of the others that want to push their own agenda, I have been using CPAP for over 8 years. Because of Philip's recall I am on my third machine.
So please save your condescending comments for others.

THEN THIS ISN'T (just) YOUR "BUSINESS" This is a public forum, and other people need to know how stupid and ill advised using garbage like the NO "clean" machines is.

Maybe you should try learning something.
