Air Noise

Post by Floridaed » Fri Aug 19, 2022 1:43 pm

Hi. New to this site. I’m looking for help and suggestions. Been using a CPap for 15 plus years. The last 5 years I had Resmed air sense 10. Loved it. The motor failed and my supplier Apria sent me a new machine. It’s a Luna 2. Much bigger than my Resmed. I got it all set up last night and I had to shut it down after 3 hours. The inhale exhale noise coming from the filter vent is sooo loud. I checked everything and all seemed good. I had to hook up my old spare machine for the rest of the night.
Called Apria today. Totally useless. The technician told me I’ve either got a bad hose or mask connection. Told her, it’s the air vent area. She said they won’t swap it out for this issue. I told her just send
Me another Airsense. She said no. So now I’m stuck with a super loud new machine for the next 5 years!
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to muffle this inhale/ exhale jet engine sound?
I appreciate it.

UPDATE 8/22
I emailed the insurance carrier and some big wheel at Apria. 4 hours later Apria called me and said to come by their Orlando office and pick up the AirSense 11! Much better and NO NOISE!
Stay away from the Luna for a bit. They are too new and don’t quite have their machines ready yet.

If you think the machine is defective and it was paid for by insurance...call them.
