What "memory" are you attempting to reset? Factory settings? Clear the smart card?

Blarg, the month average and the week average data held in the machine itself - wiping the card is no problem.

In that case, I don't know. As far as I can tell, there's no factory reset mentioned in the provider manual or user guide.

In the Provider Mode- Therapy Usage Screen. This screen displays both the 7 and 30 averages. You can reset these values and all of the other data screens to zero by pressing the "-" button for approx 5 seconds . This will not reset the total operation time or other patient data.

hope that helps

yep, what he said.

Note: After you enter provider mode (holding arrow keys down while plugging in power) don't hit the + key to enter Setup mode, use the <- -> arrows to navigate to the Therapy Usage Screen as gxyguy indicated.

it will be interesting to see if manually clearing the machine's data with the above procedure may or may not do to the missing data reported on these machines.

Gxyguy, thanks for this. Now, I don't suppose you have found out how to reset that damned internal clock have you? Mine is off and people say it will continue to drift. There HAS to be an access to it via the keypad (for the manufacturer).

Cannot set time on M series - more thoughts

Post by Spottymaldoon » Tue Jan 23, 2007 11:34 am

Can't believe there isn't a key-pad combination (secret) that will access the clock on the M series. Shall go inside & see what's what in the way of a crystal control for the processor (unless somebody already looked?).

Just as doctors and priests used to speak to one another in Latin (and to God in the case of the priests) - so do the manufacturers of this equipment maintain a professional secrecy about much of the internal workings of XPAP machines.

The given reason is that "rubbernecking sightseers should keep their hands in their pockets & watch the blinking lights" & "finger-poking blockheads will muck up the delicate entrails of the machine". A darker reason, as valid for doctors and priests, is for XPAPs is that keeping professional secrets maintains job security - and high markups - for many who 'sell-on' the mysteries.

Best,
Spotty

PS some of the above words inpired by the following spoof-German, to be seen pinned up over many computers in the 1960s:

Das Koputermachine ist nicht fur gefingerpoken oder mittengrabben - der Springwerk will geschnappen. Das rubbernecken Seitseehren muss hans im poketten geputt, und das Blinkenlichts gewatch

I just powered down, pressed < - + keys simultaneously and it gave 3 beeps & reset the non volatile RAM to factory default - meaning it put the pressures to 4 and 20 and reset the ramping and various options.

This tells me that there are technician keypresses so surely there must be one for the clock set too!
