Looking for advice.

Post by Hawgfrog » Sun Jul 24, 2022 7:33 pm

Hello. I’ve been using cpap therapy for over 4 years now. I’ve done really well that whole time until the last 3 weeks. I’ve always run on auto. Don’t remember my prescribed pressure. Started out with Ds1 until the recall then i got the Ds2. Here in the last few weeks I noticed my ahi increasing. I’m having ahi’s from 4.5-7.0 when normally I always ran between .05-3.0. I’m starting to feel the effects of it. I don’t know what has changed. Of course I can’t get into my sleep dr for over a month. Can anyone give me any tips or ideas as to why there would be a sudden change? My meds haven’t changed and I don’t drink. I have Oscar data but I’m out of town at moment and I will post it when I get home. Thank you

Sounds like you travel. Have you tested for Covid since the changes? It may be that you are mostly asymptomatic, but this may be a sign. Worth checking, if you haven't already.

welcome to the zoo!

we'll see what others say, but it's prolly going to have to wait until the oscar data is posted. i know, it's hard to be patient but with the data, we can see what the heck is going on.

Impossible to even hazard a guess without knowing the event category composition of the higher than we want AHI and with the DreamStation you only get AHI on the LCD screen. It doesn't tell you what that AHI is composed of at all.
We have to see the OSCAR data.

Thought I just had a thought...if the new DS 2 isn't set to the exact same settings the old recalled machine was set to that might explain things.

Turn off the calendar and pie chart so that the statistics can be seen in entirety.

No need to redo this image at this time though.

Do you have handy a screen shot of a "good night" ???? from the old machine????

liar!!

as pugsy said, no need to redo this one. but down the road, charts should be organized this way-
Event Flags
Flow Rate
Pressure
Leak Rate
Flow Limit (Only for Resmed machines, not on Respironics)

good luck!

Ok fellas, I have picked out a good night and a bad night. Now I have learned in the past week that I cannot sleep on my back although I've never had an issue with that before. I've played with machine a bit. Took off auto and been running 18cm and making sure to stay sleeping on my sides and so far, I've had 3 excellent nights. I think it may be more than just sleeping on my back though. The data I'm posting was on auto. Thanks guys.
