what doesn't make sense to me on what the OP wants to do.

The sharing of your data from your CPAP HAS to be set-up by someone. If this was never done, then the data cannot be accessed and shared period.
I could be wrong about the reason why OP wants to stop the transmission ....maybe it isn't the data thing but more of a transmission itself thing. I don't remember if the OP has ever said exactly the reason why....but there are people who just don't like the idea of something being by their head sending anything anywhere. Hence the comments from some about Faraday cages here.

But you are correct about the data. It has to be set up to be monitored by someone and if it is never set up...then no one is monitoring. Now does the machine continue to try to phone home even when no one is expecting a phone call???? I don't know the answer to that question.

. . . unintended consequences . .
My late brother called those "maggot bites".
"Maggots" being those who try to do things way beyond their ability.

Well, no, the machine sends data to Resmed's servers, which is anonymous since there's no record of who owns machine xxxxx in their records, unless one sets up myair.

Resmed will use that data to help improve the way CPAPs work to treat people, they don't need any personal data for that.

Even if one sets up MyAir, there is no MyAir requirement or validation of accurate personal data be entered. Only a valid device serial number.

One can use MyAir and still remain Anonymous.

If it's a transmission concern that's bothering the OP, then I certainly hope that he doesn't use a cellphone!
