Assuming no comorbidities that would cause it, is hyperventilating the primary reason this would happen?
I'm attempting pap therapy for the nth time. This time with new bipap machine. The few times I have successfully fell asleep with the mask on (nasal pillows), I have woken up after 3 or 4 hours with severe tingling in hands / feet. As soon as I take off the mask & stop the pap machine, it resolves after a while. I don't feel like the pressure is too high or too low, presently (though doc said because I didn't adapt too well in the past he was starting with it pretty low, relatively speaking). Yep, I could post machine model, weight, pressures, my sleep study scores, ahi, etc, but figured I'd just start with this question simply. I know that anxiety attacks or GAD could cause this, but I've never gone to sleep and woken up like this *without* using pap. ?
I know you are not my doctor(s), of course. : )

Definitely ask your MD about it - you might get lots of guesses here, but it's too important to mess with... hopefully not a big deal, but get checked out.
Were your settings dialed in for a bipap thru your doctor, or just copied from previous machine, or ???
What are they and what were they?

Hands AND feet?
If hands only, this was how my carpal tunnel syndrome first presented.
Feet, too--see your doctor.
This points to a circulatory problem. (Diabetes, etc.)
Above all, don't even CONSIDER stopping cpap!

Well, I don't know for sure if that's the best advice considering we aren't MDs and don't know what's what - yes, Cpap in general shouldn't be stopped arbitrarily but then symptoms can arise that need checking out before just going on with anything. It's probably OK, but I'd want to ask a doctor about it.
