Just replace the hose--and don't wash the new one.
Mold happens because of cleaning--not in spite of it.
If something doesn't smell fresh, it might be time to clean the tank.
After washing the tank, I put a spoonful of vodka in and swirl it around.
I add water to the vodka, and it all smells fresh--for weeks at a time.
