It sounds like I need to give that neck brace a try. Here's the problem:
Most nights (not last night, I'm not sure why) I wake up at some point, and I take the mask off for 15-20 minutes. I've tried to examine why I'm doing this when it happens. Partly, I'm just tired of this contraption strapped to my face. My eyes are irritated. My nose itches and I can't scratch it. Whatever it is, I do this most every single night. I was particularly tired last night, so I didn't do it. Normally I would.
I mention this because I'm trying to imagine the addition of a neck brace, and it's another thing to attach to myself to sleep. On the other hand, perhaps I'll sleep better and not wake up at all. I won't know until I give it a go. I'm not sure what else to do so I guess that's the next step.
As I mentioned before, I do tuck my chain quite a bit and curl up on my side. That might explain the clusters, and it sounds like a neck brace is the only way to go. I guess not even the machine can do much about that.
It sort of raises the question: would a neck brace conceivably fix my entire sleep problem, and I wouldn't need the machine? But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Re: Why is my Face Swollen?
I forgot to answer this. I'm feeling...fine. I am more tired than usual today. I feel like I could take a nap to be honest which normally I don't experience anymore. I could probably push through it, but I am finding it more difficult to concentrate today.

Re: Why is my Face Swollen?
not a neck brace; a firm foam cervical collar. there is a big difference. typically a neck brace is worn while upright. it is made of sturdier "stuff" and could potentially do some harm if worn while sleeping.
firm foam cervical collar here-

or at your local pharmacy.

This is the one I got. It's very firm and uncomfortable which is why I've avoided wearing it so far. Wrong one?.zonker wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 6:15 pmnot a neck brace; a firm foam cervical collar. there is a big difference. typically a neck brace is worn while upright. it is made of sturdier "stuff" and could potentially do some harm if worn while sleeping.

This is the one I use. It’s firm on the bottom and soft on top.FatBruno wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 6:41 pm

Re: Why is my Face Swollen?
not at all. it looks good to me. a cervical collar comes with a Your Milage May Very sticker as pugsy likes to say. jlfinkel uses a shorter one than me. i use a 4" which works for me.FatBruno wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 6:41 pm

if it's uncomfortable, you may want to try another brand. i see jlfinkel has made a recommendation. i can't at this time because i'm searching for the "just right" one for me. i have one coming which i CAN recommend but it's not from amazon and i want to see what their service is like first.
sorry i can't be of more help.
