Re: Having a hard time finding a good mask
1. How long have you been on CPAP?
Late October last year
2. What are your pressure and EPR settings?
5/15 min max pressure
Epr full time
Level 2
Climate control
3. Can you download OSCAR and post some reports?
I have to find a sd card. I have them but don't know where one is
4. If no OSCAR what is the 95% pressure inhale and exhale from the “Sleep Report” screen on the machine? (Shows as “Pressure” and “Exp. Pressure”)
Presure 13.1
Exp pressure doesn't exist
Leak 20L/min
Ahi 1.2
Total ai 0.4
Central ai 0.1
Thanks for your help
Many of us using a F20/FFM chipmunk had the chipmunk cheek issue for a bit, but it resolves over time with proper pressure, mask fit, and getting used to the device/mask.
Without more data (ala OSCAR) it is hard for those that understand those things to offer data-driven advice. We can keep throwing out ideas, but it is much more effective with data to base suggestions.

Re: Having a hard time finding a good mask
Almost always, if your min/max is set to 5/15, your settings are wrong and your minimum is too low.
Yup, your minimum pressure looks way too low.
Finding an SD Card and posting some charts, should be your priority.

Re: Having a hard time finding a good mask
Thanks. I took the one out of my digital camera which I only use on vacations for long zooms now.
I will sleep with the V... Mask tonight so you have a baseline.
My lower jaw fell out or it and my water was empty no wonder my mouth was so dry lol.
I can't wait to figure this out. I don't want to blame the dme company when it's the doctor.
Memory card is in and prepared and Oscar is updated.
What do you guys do with the logs? Pm it to you? Use a certain site?

Re: Having a hard time finding a good mask
You are welcome. I wish I could add more value, but I’m still learning all the gizinta’s and gizoutta’s of CPAP, so will leave it to those who understand it much better.
What I will add is from my own experience. The CPAP experience is new to everyone and it takes time to adjust. Think about it, you are first told you have a sleep problem even though you have been sleeping your entire life, then you are put through an overnight test and maybe a titration to figure out what is up and how to treat it, you then get a machine with little explanation of how it works, given a mask that attaches to your face like an alien with little to no explanation, and let loose into the wild. No wonder we all get frustrated with it.
Listen to the smart kids like Dog Slobber, Pugsy, PaleRider, Miss Emerita, etc. They can help you find what works, but they need data to do so in relatively quick order. Without it they can only make educated guesses, but will get you there the same it will just take a lot longer.
As DS said, figuring out how to get OSCAR running is the priority. Without it there is only so much info available. When you get data read this and post the information as recommended.

Format the screenshot as in the following post then press F12 to take a screenshot

Right now it's best to upload the screenshots to an image hosting site (cpaptalk.com currently has a storage shortage)
I use https://imgpile.com/ myself. This hosting site auto generates a embed code like

Re: Having a hard time finding a good mask
Here is the first night with my old mask the Verta one or whatever. I did tighten it last night and my lower mouth didnt fall out. But the mask should be replaced.
I will try the other mask once overtime calms down.

Re: Having a hard time finding a good mask
Please turn on the daily sidebar when you post the next screenshot. It has the machine settings and stats needed for evaluation.
You also only need the first image, the second image is rarely needed unless the experts explicitly request it.
Do you have a question regarding your therapy besides trying to find a better mask? You can change the "Subject" of a post to reflect your current question / problem.
See how the post titles change in the chunkyfrog's thread from 1st page to the 20th page. https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t182 ... again.html
You can also edit the subject in the first post of the thread so the new title shows up on the front page. If you look at the first post in the above thread, you can see it was edited 7 times.
Some people simply just edit their thread title to "xxxxx's Therapy thread"
BTW I am not one of the experts here, but your charts look ok to me. Not a lot of flags.
But the important thing is how you are feeling? Hopefully you feel rested.
One thing I'd suggest is increasing your minimum pressure to 6 or 7.
The pressure increases almost right after you fall asleep. The pressure never go back down until you turn off the CPAP then back on round 8:30
Try that for a week then post a typical screenshot.
Good luck
