Bleep Sleep Free 2 Week Trial

Post by SJ-Paddler » Wed Feb 16, 2022 10:10 am

Pardon me if this was mentioned before but has Bleep always offered a free 2 week trial?

I just clicked on the link below and signed up for a free 2 week test, less $5.95 in shipping.

Sounds like a good deal to me.

https://bleepsleep.com/2-week-supply-of ... -giveaway/

Thanks.

Joe.

Not always but I don't know when they started this trial as official starting date. I found out about it last month but that doesn't mean anything. I don't have a need to frequent the Bleep website.
And not everyone will qualify either....and no I don't know why some might not qualify.
And I think it is 1 week and not 2 weeks.
Try Bleep for a week to experience better sleep.
Watch training on the product use, try the product for 7 days, and participate in a confidential survey to provide feedback on the product?*
But yeah...kind of a no brainer if someone is the slightest bit interested in trying the Bleep.

Thanks Pugsy. See below, it does say 1 week in ad but you get this emailed. Perhaps they expect you to mess up at least once a day the first week.

By the way as far as the CPAP is concerned, this is a "Nasal Pillow" correct?

Thanks.

Well it does indeed say 2 week....that's great because most likely newbies will screw up at least 3 nights worth of ports....
been there and done that even after I had been using this product for a while.
Sometimes we just mess up the application.
and a 7 day trial doesn't allow for enough screw ups.

And by signing up and participating even if a person ends up not really caring for the Bleep...I would bet my last dollar that when the new model gets released to the public that a person will get an email alerting them to that fact. It's just the nature of marketing.

Practice attaching the DreamWay connector thing to the ports WITHOUT ever pulling the ports off the paper....will reduce the number of screw ups.

Remember....skin prep is critical to success of the adhesive sticking all night. Don't scrimp on the cleaning of the nose and nostril area. Especially if a person tends to have oily skin and/or sweats a lot.

Good luck. Let me know if you run into trouble and we can try to make it easier for you.
Watch all the videos...they do help.
You may or may not care about the hose management thing....not important to me but I can see where it might be for others. I know Stuart said it made a world of difference to him.

Also remember...Stuart is a cpap user himself and has been for over 15 years. He's been through all the problems with masks over the years that all of us have been through. That's why he designed this product.

Thanks for the advice Pugsy. Just a couple more questions:
* Is this considered a Nasal Pillow in the CPAP settings?
* Is a baby wipe enough to clean off an oily face at night or do you really need alcohol wipes?

Emphasis mine.

And yes, set your ResMed to Pillows.

You can use either setting and it doesn't really matter. I use the "pillow" setting myself.
It really won't make enough difference for anyone to notice. The resistance for the Bleep is about the same as the resistance for the pillows or even some nasal masks.
And there are some under the nose cushion masks that ResMed says to use the "Pillows" setting anyway.
So the absence or presence of an actual nasal pillow doesn't dictate the setting.

Nope...not nearly enough cleaning. Don't even try it.
Heck I have tried omitting the soap and water cleaning first part and just doing the alcohol and the adhesive fails every time.

Follow the skin prep directions exactly....no cheating.

Besides baby wipes often have some sort of moisturized agent in them which usually means some type of lotion or oil based product. While good enough to clean the silicon of a regular mask...not good enough for skin cleaning for something that needs to stick to the skin.
Facial oils and/or sweat....will kill the adhesive properties of the ports. It just will fail.
AND I don't have particularly oily skin either. If I cheat...the ports come loose.

Don't try to cheat.

Soap and water scrub and don't use a "moisturizing soap" either...remember anything that adds moisture is usually adding something that makes for the adhesive to come loose easily.
And then some sort of astringent wipe as final step. I use alcohol because it is cheap.
I don't bother with alcohol wipes either...I just pour a little alcohol on a cloth and wipe the nose down that way.

Thanks I have not seen the skin prep directions yet, they will probably be in the package. Will be sure to follow them when they come. Guessing they should arrive in 1 to 2 weeks.

There may or may not be a video about skin prep. I haven't checked all the videos.

I do suggest watching the videos...lots of hints....especially the one Stuart made.

@Pugsy and other Bleep users...

Question for you about your experience with Bleep that I thought about...and it's kinda funny.

So, you prep and attach the ports..and then go to bed!

Then, all of sudden your lying there in bed and you feel like the edge of nose needs to be itched!

Now most people, when they get this feeling would just rub the side of their nose and the itch goes away!

But NOT with the Bleep attached! You cannot just itch that spot that needs to be itched! I tried everything I could one night to get the itch to go away and I could not get at it!
I even resorted to waking up, going to the bathroom, disconnecting the hose, and wetting a q-tip and sliding that up inside the dreamport to rub the itch away!!

Guess what, it didn't work! I'm sitting there, looking dumbfounded in the mirror & thinking to myself...I can't believe this! This little desire to itch is going to drive me mad all night!

I had a decision to make! Was I going to remove one of my precious supply of test dream ports just to get this itch to go away or just deal it it!

I choose to deal with it...and eventually fell asleep...

but, I was wondering, has anyone else dealt with an itch that they could not get at, after they applied their dreamports??

When applying the port, use a pen rather than tipping your head up against a mirror.
You can guide it lower so that the air stream touches the edges of the nares less.

I have also used the pen inserted through the port to serve as a support when applying pressure on the nares to stop itching.

The itching is one of the several reasons I prefer the P10.
OMG sneezing against the port ... ouch.
The glue residue ... ugggh.

During my 14 night trial...I think I only lined up the ports evenly on one of the nights.

If you're off in lining up the ports perfectly evenly, they are flexible enough to line up with the hose.
This comes at the cost of pulling a bit extra on each of the ports, as they're forced to line up with the hose connector.
But, as long as you are in the ballpark, in somewhat lining them up, you should be good to go.
This extra pulling on each side may slightly tug at your skin, as the ports are stuck on to each side of your nose - this is slightly uncomfortable but not the end of the world.
