No one goes through a full gallon each week? My CPAP is set on Auto and the reservoir is nearly empty each night. It is the reason I can't raise the humidity level.
I don't understand how you can use up a full gallon in a week.
A gallon is 3785.41ml
The Resmed water chamber holds 380ml, and you're saying you're not even using all of it.

Your right it is 3/4 gallon. For some reason I thought it was a full gallon. I fill with 1-2/3 cups a night and rinse out the little remaining each night and dry. Thanks for the clarification.

In central California we've never had a distilled water shortage since I started using CPAP in 2017, but we have one now -- stores aren't getting any deliveries from their suppliers. I'm concerned. Is this happening in other parts of the US as well?

welcome to the zoo!
you do realize that you don't HAVE to use distilled water, don't you? regular tap water is fine. it just means you'll have clean out the tank when you start to see buildup of minerals there.
distilled water is merely a convenience.

one week after being out of distilled water at winco, it's back. yet still a dime more expensive. supply and demand and all of that.
so i went and rented a uhaul and bought their entire stock.
(narrator's voice: no, zonker didn't do that.)
but i did (gasp!) buy a gallon when i have 1/3 of a gallon left here.

We picked up four of them at our local Winco store yesterday. We had about 1 and 1/2 left and they had plenty on the shelf. My night stand will hold six gallons, and when we get down to one or two, we will stock up, again. We keep water in my nightstand, and the travel bags for our current machines as well as two spare machines in my wife's nightstand.

You horrible greedy thing you, you should have only gotten a quart of it, and left the rest on the shelf, (probably dripping down on the other shelves).

To get free delivery, you have to order THIRTY GALLONS!
So, what's the shipping on a "reasonable" number of gallons--say 4?

With two of us using it every night, that is about two month's supply. My wife has the same set up as I do.

I had that picture hanging on my office wall when I was working. It reminded me of the person I shared a cubicle with.
