@Pugsy I know that you’re a Bleep user…I have noticed a SIGNIFICANT decrease in the amount of water used every night on the Bleep.
Have you?
Might be worth noting, a major contributor to water loss is leaks.

When one goes to the Bleep, often they'll go from a lot of leak to zero leak. Depending on pre-Bleep leak amounts, this can explain a decrease in water use.
Yep, the leaks have definitely gone to zero - or very close to zero - that was actually the most shocking thing I've noted about using the Bleep so far.

Nope, not really. It still varies mainly on how dry the ambient air is...at least for me. Some days I might use nearly all the water and some days maybe half. But then my hours of use vary so much as well it's hard to really compare.
If/when I ever get 8 hours...it's either dry or there's just an eye dropperfull in the chamber...but remember I use at least 6 humidity setting and would use 8 if I didn't get rain out in the winter. I can easily use 8 setting in the summer but just can't do it in the winter because of bedroom temps dipping.

I was off the Bleep for a while from the hand surgery thing so I used the P10 for few months and then I tried the N30...and just in last 2 or 3 weeks back on the Bleep.
I just didn't have the finger dexterity needed to mess with the Bleep until recently. Even now thumb and index finger on the right hand sometimes just doesn't want to play nice together.

I will try to make more of a mental note as to water consumption between the recent N30 usage which pretty much corresponded to P10 usage now that I am back on the Bleep.
If I can go 7 or god forbid 8 hours on half a tank of water....then you may just be on to something.
I am back on it now and I saw where you posted about the water usage. I will try to make more of a note as to water usage now.

I recently changed my humidity to Auto so I don't know what level internally the machine is using - maybe that's why it's not using much water! :?
I use to to be at #4 for humidity and a 64 degree tube temp.
I'll turn off auto humidity tonight and change it back to #4, top off the water, and report back tomorrow.

There are some other issues about the Bleep that I don't care for, including the dexterity required to connect the tubes each night.

One thing I do like though - NO MORE CPAP Hair! :D
* This is the internet - what I write will probably NOT come across as it would in person; where one can read a person's face.
My posts are sometimes tongue & cheek w/some snarky sarcasm mixed in.
I leave it up to you to figure it out!

Understood and IMHO the weakest part to the Bleep. Fiddly is a big understatement.

Watch for the new improved version of the Bleep....the Eclipse....that fiddly problem...no longer a problem.
Hopefully will be released publicly in May or June with pre orders available about a month or so before release...when that happens I can talk about it ... At least that is the plan right now. Cross your fingers that there won't be any more hiccups.

So right now I am telling Bleep users....DO NOT go buying a years worth of ports because the old ports won't work with the new version.
And telling the BLeep users who don't have a problem with "fiddly"...watch out for some good deals on the ports from members who bought up a years supply.

to get back on topic, noticed today at winco (employee owned grocery store) that there was no distilled water. only drinking water. it has increased in price but only went from 88 cents to 98 cents.

i may have to roll up my sleeves and clean my tank. fortunately, i have a couple of spare tanks, so i can rotate out.

we now return you to the bleep mask conversation, already in progress.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Have you ever seen a thread here not go off topic at least a little bit???
As long as the OT part isn't a pissing contest or someone hijacking a problem with their problem....I don't really care.

The shelves are empty for me. I'm waiting for a Walmart to get more stock in and then we'll have to grab up all I can carry.

Stores that don't at least post purchase limits are being irresponsible.
Because desperate people get VIOLENT.

You're getting feedback from the folks who *claim* they never use distilled water.
But that leaves more *foe*(sp) those that do.

Did anyone welcome you to the zoo?
You're seeing why.

Hi Everyone:
welcome to the zoo!

1) Red / Burn skin on face - In an effort to get leaks to 0 on "MyAir" I gradually tightened mask. I got to near zero but when woke up face was marked with lines and very sore to the touch. I have been backing off and keeping leaks to under five but face is still sore. Shaving and washing face before bed seems to help. Is this something that goes away or your skin just gets used to?
i know that it seems like you want to ratchet the mask down, but you don't, as julie says. i would suggest to go to youtube and search out mask fitting videos. be sure to put the name of your mask in the search field.
2) Feeling of Ear Infection Awake / Fine Sleeping - I got daytime pain in Left Ear / Back Jaw / Under Jaw which feels like an ear infection but I am pretty sure I am fine. No congestion or issues clearing ears. Thought this may be an issue with the face mask pushing my jaw back while sleeping. Is this just growing pains and something that normally goes away?
i think once you quit tightening down the mask so much, this will go away.
3) I was told pressures above 10 too high for Nasal - I wanted a Nasal mask but was told with AHI of 47.2 that was too high and pressure above 10cm would be too high for Nasal mask. I seemd to have a 95% range of 12.5 cm. Is that close enough for most people here to use a nasal mask?
rubbish. i use a nasal pillow mask and my pressure is a minimum 18.4 and a maximum if 25. no problems using it at that pressure.
4) What is the AHI you need to achieve? I am bouncing from 0.50 to 1.50 on average. I have no idea what would cause such wild swings from one night to another.
you want to achieve an ahi that will allow you to sleep through the night and wake up refreshed. that particular ahi is subjective. some sleep doctors think an ahi of 5 is the target. if my ahi was that high, i wouldn't consider myself treated. right now, it's better for you to get used to the process and not be concerned about chasing specific numbers.
Some charts below in case it is helpful. (Left card out for a few days by mistake so you will see a data interruption.) Thanks again for advice and my apologizes if I need to be redirected to older posts.
no your fine. just give some more charts as they are captured. no biggie.

to me, it looks like you're off to a grand start, numbers wise. there are changes to be made but i think it best that you get that mask fitted out properly. the therapy does you no good if part of what you're doing is damaging yourself.

most importantly, how do you feel? are you sleeping soundly? this is always important in sleep apnea treatment. it's a very important barometer of how your doing. so when you post a new chart, tell us how that night's sleep went.

good luck!

Sorry I am a bit confused with two separate threads on one reply.

Did I offend someone?

If anyone is concerned I have moved to the Eson 2 Nasal Mask and am liking it much better.

Home Depot got in 30 bottles of Distilled Water and I did grab up 6 of them. Hope that does not make me a bad person.

Zonker wasn't talking to you.

He quoted somebody else, therefore the natural presumption should be, his response directed at them.

Is what generated some of the negative response.

There is a distilled water shortage. And when some comes in, you intend to grab as much as you can, without concerns for others who also have need for it.

The when some came in you actually did hoard a bunch.

You took 20% of all the stock. About two and a half months worth.

You, and others like you, are not the victims of shortages and hoarding, you are the cause of shortages.

Home Depot, by not limiting quantities, has been irresponsible and careless.
If a customer gets hurt (or worse) in a battle over merch, the store could be held liable.
