Resvent Ibreze Inconsistent Air Pressure

Post by bworthey » Fri Feb 04, 2022 7:51 pm

So I just got this machine and I’ve notice this crazy thing going on. At times it feels almost like what I think a bipap machine would feel like - two pressures, one when breathing in and a different when breathing out. Not only that it’s like it flutters even at times, sometimes even waking me up in the middle of the night.

The place I got it from said it was the icomfort feature but I have that turned to 0 and it’s still doing it. Is anyone else experiencing anything g like this??

Not many users of that brand here.
Don't expect too much, either from that company, or from other users.
Hopefully it's not too late to RETURN that POS.

Nico has just uploaded a review - he goes into some detail about the IPR, which might give you some pointers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ISz_2PLBIM

Apparently the device is not the POS that it is assumed to be, but I'd always go for Resmed if I had the option.

The company that makes it is "headquartered in ShenZhen, China."
I am OK with a phone made thereabouts, but my life is not dependent on my phone . . .

You are unlikely to get very many, if any, real people experience who use this brand machine.
So you are drawing from a teeny tiny market at least here on this forum. I only remember one member here who uses this machine.

If we haven't used that brand machine we really can't help sort out potential problems with that machine and/or advise whether someone is experiencing a normal function or a problem function.

All I can offer is that if ANY machine is doing something a person just doesn't like or can't adjust to....get a different machine.
Maybe it is defective or just maybe the way it goes about doing its job is a way that someone just doesn't like and finds so annoying it prevents good sleep...and when anything prevents sleep...now that is a problem. A problem no matter if the cause is a defective machine or normal job of the machine.

I lived and worked in Shenzen for 3 years. Most are very talented engineers as good as I’ve seen anywhere in the world and people are quite nice once they get to know you.

The morals of the companies they work for are questionable at the best of times. The differences between how they treat employees vs how companies elsewhere in the world treat them are quite noticeable. This in many cases carries across to product quality.
There is no right or wrong side of the road. There is only the road.

Well I wasn’t aware of that so thanks for pointing that out. I do plan on calling the DME back tomorrow to discuss it with them. I wasn’t offered an option with machines though as the other issue is I had to wait almost two months because of supply issues so I was just kinda happy to get a machine.

I think that calling the Resvent CPAP a "POS" as you referred to it is a bit strong. There are many fine products produced in China and many dependable organizations based there. A perfect example is CPAP.com which is now owned by a Venture Capital organization based in china. Not by the Goodman family. Not family owned and operated any longer.

Someone should update their web page if that's true.
