The author of Sleepyhead has abandoned the product and it has not been maintained for several years. OSCAR is actively maintained and support is available from many users and the developers.

GOOD MORNING. I am a newbie and want to get OSCAR up and running. I have been trying to download it for an hour. I read about installation on a Mac, followed all of the procedures, but get this message over and over. "Error occurred while trying to download selected updates." ?
I have rebooted, cleared history....nothing seems to work. I have a new MAcBook Air running Big Sur 14.0. I have checked my privacy setting to see if downloads are being blocked, but cannot see anywhere they are.

Help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Check which version of BigSur you are running. Click the Apple logo then About this Mac.
Which browser are you using?
Are you on your home network or trying to D/L from a work computer? If it's a work computer/network they may block you from D/L files.

While on the sleepfiles website try right clicking on the download link and select "Save Link As" and see if that works.
