i am settingup my new apap and what do i do with that small black outlet port, where does it go?i am looking at instructions but cant figure it out, please help!

I think you're talking about the same thing I was wondering about with my new machine a few minutes ago!
I finally figured out you only need it when you are not using the humidifier portion. If you disconnect the two units, the small outlet port would be attached to the machine portion, allowing you to connect your hose directly to the machine.

You picture is a little fuzzy. So I'll just make a WAG about what you are talking about. The power cord plugs in the Heater hudmitifier, and the short cord from the HH plugs into the APAP. That's as close to a guess of what you are talking about. Jim
