Any thoughts as to what is going on? Should I re-install OSCAR? Should I reformat the SD card?
Odd OSCAR behavior, or maybe machine?
Odd OSCAR behavior, or maybe machine?
I have the current version of OSCAR installed. My machine is a ResMed AirSense AutoSet 10. All was fine until March10, when OSCAR started giving the message 'No Data to Show' in the graph panel (right had side of screen), although there was stats in the left hand panel. This behavior continued through this past Saturday night, April10. Graphs suddenly appeared for last night, April11.
Any thoughts as to what is going on? Should I re-install OSCAR? Should I reformat the SD card?

Exactly one month, hmmmm.
Is it possible that there was a glitch in the wireless upload to your provider?
You can go into your clinical menu, and set the report from "on" to "plus".
No idea if this can be done remotely, but I would not rule it out.
If it happens again, you don't have to wait to change it to YOUR WAY.
Be on the lookout on May 9th and 10th.

Re: Odd OSCAR behavior, or maybe machine?
The data is not uploaded wirelessly. I take the SD card from the machine and put it into the built-in reader in my computer, open OSCAR and upload. This has always worked before. I checked again this morning, and both data and graphs are there for last night. What puzzles me is 1. nothing changed either on my computer, OSCAR, or the machine; no changes in settings at all, and 2. OSCAR has the notice where the graphs would normally show "There is no data to graph" when there is data showing on the left side of the screen, and that data appears to be correct: date and time, breakdown of event types and %, total AHI, machine type, session length, etc.
So, I know at least some data is being gathered and recorded nightly. There is a notation 'Summary data only' on each day there is no graph. Does this mean that the machine (for some unknown reason) only recorded 'summary data' on those nights?
For the last two nights, OSCAR is showing full data and graphs, and I changed nothing on the machine or the settings in OSCAR. 'Tis a puzzlement.

Re: Odd OSCAR behavior, or maybe machine?
How often do you take the card out of the machine and upload the data into OSCAR?
Your CPAP machine keeps the summary data internally and it will write it to the card any time the card is available. Detailed data, however, is written to the card as it happens; it is not stored internally. If your SD card is protected, or not in the machine, detail data is lost. If you did not insert your card fully, or it was protected, there will be no detailed data. If you then insert the card, the summary data held internally will be written to the card. Then, when you import into OSCAR, OSCAR will report "There is no data to graph" as the graphs are built from the detailed data. The data on the left sidebar may be from the summary data.

Re: Odd OSCAR behavior, or maybe machine?
Generally I download the data to my computer once a week, but for some reason (let's blame Covid, shall we?
) I didn't do it for about 5 weeks. Perhaps that was the reason. I know the card was not locked, and I am certain that it was all the way seated in the machine, since I had to do the 'push to release' to get it out. If it wasn't fully seated, I could have just pulled it out, no?
Thanks for the information on the data recording. I did not realize there were two data sets recorded, I thought it was one set, recorded at one time.

Re: Odd OSCAR behavior, or maybe machine?
Well, the SD card slot is a mechanical & electrical device. I've seen reports before of an SD card seemingly being seated but not having a solid connection. I suspect a problem with the SD card or slot is the cause of your missing data but there's no real way to confirm that. Just watch and see if it happens again.
