Local DME that stocks BLEEP and MediCAID

Post by New2me123 » Mon Mar 01, 2021 3:45 pm

Hi y’all!

I’m new to the forum and am now waiting for my appointment with the doctor tomorrow after having my titration study done last week.

Anyway, I was given the dreamwear nasal cushion and pillow adaptor as well as the resmed f30 because of COVID and decided to wear the dreamwear over the head nasal one during my study and it fit me perfectly (that night lol). I’ve been wearing it watching tv to desensitize myself because of severe cptsd and it’s been going alright but I’d really like to try the Bleep.

I’ve called Apria and nucara about the Bleep and they’ve never heard about it and although they both said it sounds awesome they wouldn’t stock it as it’s not a major distributor ...I’m wondering where people are having the most luck getting the Bleep with their insurance paying for it?

I’m also on Medicaid not Medicare (which I’ve read about allot here) and was wondering if anyone happened to know if I could use an online dme (if that’s where y’all are getting the Bleep WITH insurance) with Medicaid?

Thank y’all for reading and thanks for this active forum! I’ve learned a lot and was able to go into my titration study knowing what was up and what to ask for in terms of RX and whatnot. Always better than going in totally unprepared :)

Try LinCare. They are doing a trial of offering the Bleep at some local offices or maybe their online website.

Thank you Pugsy!

I searched Lincare and there is one near me but they’re gonna have to call me tomorrow with the answer. It didn’t show up on my DME Google search so thanks for letting me know they even exist!

Hopefully they have it!

Try bleepsleep.com. There are many Companies listed there along with their phone numbers. They also have a forum. I found my present Company there, "Aerospace Healthcare". They are easy to deal with. :|

It was Aero Care I saw but I called them anyhow and nope. No dice.

The list on bleep sleep looked to be online and I live on 50$ a month after rent so there’s no way I can afford it if Medicaid won’t pay for it. Still waiting back form lincare...we’ll see :)

Send Stuart a note. Email Contact is on the bleep website above.
Explain the situation about a LinCare being close to you and you wanting to try the Bleep but have to use Medicaid.

The trial with LinCare doesn't involve all LinCare offices but Stuart might be able to help get your local LinCare on board.
Stuart knows some people at LinCare that can move mountains. So even if your local LinCare isn't on board now....they can be put on board with some prodding.

While there are several online suppliers you can use to get the Bleep that will file insurance it's going to be the Medicaid part that is likely a stumbling block since Medicaid is state insurance.

Medicaid is state specific I don't imagine they allow online DME's.

You will have to ask them for a list of approved dme's.
