ResMed MyAir

Post by loggerhead12 » Tue Feb 23, 2021 5:31 pm

Has anyone bought a used Resmed xPAP and connected it to a new MyAir account without going through a doc or DME?

There is no requirement to go through a doctor in order to use MyAir. If the previous owner used MyAir, the machines serial number is registered to them.
I don't know if that would present a problem when trying to sign up. If you are using an Airsense, there is far more data available on the screen's sleep report than on MyAir.

If the used machine is still under a previous users registration you won't be able to register its serial number and use MyAir.

Now it can be done but the old DME has to officially release the machine serial number so it can then be registered to you...and ResMed won't do it just on your say so.

I bought a used Aircurve machine over a year ago.
Some how I am connected to my air. I don't remember signing up. But they somehow have my email address so I guess I must have.

It is possible that the used machine was never registered to someone else or perhaps if it was registered that the supplier did the paperwork to de-register it.
If that is the case...easy to register to MyAir.

But we have had many people come here wanting to register their used machine with MyAir and not being able to because the machine is already in the MyAir system tied to someone else.

All I can say is give it a try.

I have a pre-owned airsense 10. I created my air account and entered the serial number and it works fine.
