Post by Ased » Sun Feb 14, 2021 10:27 pm

Hi All. l have had my cpap machine for a while mow, but really haven't used it mote than 1 to 2 weeks at a time.l wamt to build up yo using this machine lonh term daily. l have s philips redperonics machine.

The dreamspper app half the time freezes on use.

ls there are other useful app? l.knoe the OSCAR is well recommended, but it involves downloading the sd card to thd computer...which is a bit of a hassle. Amy decent apps thst can download the data to the phone via Bluetooth, and not have to constantly removr the sd card and put it in the laptop gor analysis?

Thanks in advance,.

l am really hoping this cpap muchine makes a difference

No...nothing else but you can use a very special wi fi card and use OSCAR and not have to remove that special wi fi card.
It's expensive and involves some extra work.

I never bothered but some here have and I imagine they will come along and explain it.

Hey Ased,

Are you using the DreamMapper BlueTooth app on a phone or tablet? If so I didn't have much luck with an Android tablet connecting with BlueTooth. Sometimes it would connect, sometimes it would lose connection. So rather than the tablet I've been using the DreamMapper software installed in a computer (Windows 7) and it's been reliable. The sleep data from the CPAP machine is uploaded/sent to Philips/Respironics daily by a cellular(phone) modem module in the machine. If your CPAP machine has the cellular modem installed and you have a computer connected to the internet, this may be an easier way to view the data. The DreamMapper software data is not as complete as Oscar, but is good for a day to day check of how good you are doing.

If you have a Dreamstation the cellular modem would be under a cover on the left side of the machine....

Can't you get just as much useful information off the machine's display as from Dream Mapper? Go to youtube and find videos on using the display on your machine.
