I am trying to get OSCAR to work on my Linux laptop....
Here is what I have found out:
The old CMS50D+ has a mini-USB connector, but does need the Contec cable, which contains the CP2102 chip.
The old CMS50D+ is the second choice in the 'Select your device' drop-down - CMS50D+/E/F
The newer CMS50D+ has a micro-USB connector and reports Ver 4.6 (or higher) at startup. Again you must use the Contec cable with built-in CP2102 chip, but you must use the top entry in the 'Select your device' dropdown.
Currently, OSCAR on Chromebooks is not detecting any oximeters, although lsusb reports the presence, if it has been allowed in the Settings for Linux(beta). This will be investigated and corrected if possible
The link to the Contec website has been updated for the next version of OSCAR. See
https://www.silabs.com/developers/usb-t ... cp-drivers.
OSCAR 1.5.1 is the latest release.

Thank you Bluedragon. I am using the original cable and choosing the correct one from the drop down. Still no luck. At least it works for my cpap, that's the important part.

I noticed in the "read me" file on my Mac, that the directions called for only needing to go into settings to approve Oscar. This was the OS Catalina days. I'm currently on Big Sur 11.0.1 and any time I want to run Oscar, I have to go into my settings to "unlock" my computer. What's changed between Catalina and Big Sur, "back door" wise for Oscar?
Also is there any chance the developer of Oscar will be working with Apple to get this on their "safe list," in the future?

Probably not much. We've looked into that question with Microsoft and the answer is $$$. Apple wants $$ too and no doubt imposes requirements on how the application is built. Since OSCAR is open source, is free to all, and there is no $ at all, anything that requires $$ is unlikely.

Wondering if they are going to allow importing of data from Wellue oxygen ring? That would be awesome

I think Wellue's O2 Insight Pro software supports the O2 Ring, doesn't it? If so, you should be able to transfer data from your O2 Ring to O2 Insight Pro, and then import data files created by O2 Insight Pro into OSCAR. Use Data/Import Viatom Data to do that.

Big thanks from me to the developers. I logged in to this forum to look for a new mask. Last time might have been 10 years ago. I was a user of Sleepyhead (they have Apnea on my drivers licence and I have to get the doctor to sign off).. and I was very sad to read JediMark's swan song as he discontinued sleepyhead development. As a Linux/Ubuntu/AMD user Oscar installed ok, but does not come up as a terminal command, does not come up with 'which oscar', even though dpkg -l | grep -i oscar shows the program, I needed to use the power (windows) key and type the Oscar app there, and it came up which is not a big deal for me .

Does "which OSCAR" work? I think OSCAR may be installed as upper case.

If anyone is using a Devilbiss DV64 CPAP machine and would like to look at its data with OSCAR, I am updating the Devilbiss importer with a goal of providing full (rather than partial) support in OSCAR. If you are interested in helping test this new feature, please reply or PM me.

I just installed OSCAR x64 (v1.2.0) for the first time and successfully imported data from my first day's use of my new Airsense Autoset 10. I think OSCAR will be very useful but many of the screens are unreadable due to font size and orientation. This is on a fairly vanilla Windows 10 laptop. Is there a guide somewhere that tells me how to fix that, or does anyone have suggestions?
Thanks

In File/Preferences/Appearance you can set the fonts and their sizes.
If your laptop has a high resolution display, see the section on "OSCAR graphics problems" in

Here's a dumb question, perhaps already answered. I'm using SH on a Windows 7 system and Resmed Air Sense 10. I am fine with SH but it seems others are suggesting to migrate.
I understand OSCAR is similar to SH. Can I migrate my settings/layout (which I have tweaked over the years) to OSCAR or must I start from scratch?
