New card reader isn't recognized

My new DT3500 isn't recognized by my laptop when I plug it in. Driver is installed. Any suggestions, please.

dont use a hub
and where did you get the drivers

dont use the one that come with the reader
get it from the website of the reader

Just restating, Those of us using the HK Infineer reader, download the special driver from their web site.

If you obtain the reader from Respironics you use the driver on the supplied CD

Also make sure the EncorePro software settings show that the input device is a USB reader.

Good luck (this setting up of Encore Pro & the USb reader can be a painful experience so you are not alone).

There's also a "folder" (directory) on the Encore Pro software CD that has the install program for the DT3500 cardreader.
I would strongly suggest using THAT one. It's called "Setup.exe"

As Wolfman stated up above, it worked for me , spent 1 and half days on it before doing his suggestion.
