Hi folks,
Although I am not a frequent poster here, I regularly read the current threads and usually visit several times a week to catch up on what is going on in the land of Cpaptalk.
I notice the absence of some posters and am wondering if anyone has heard from Grace, Sheriff and ZooCrew?
I hope they are okay.

I suspect the pandemic has forced many to focus their attention elsewhere.
I, too hope they are well.

I recently heard of some members who have passed but don't have the exact names so don't want to declare the wrong person dead. Hopefully those in the know will weigh in.

Zoocrewphoto last logged in here mid July this year.
Grace has her online status hidden so can't see when she last logged in. She would be the one I would be most concerned with.
She was battling cancer.
Now 49er...Vivian...did pass away early last year. She had also been battling cancer. I felt so bad because she and I had become close friends. She was a big Nationals fan so I am sure she was doing a big happy dance in heaven when her Nats won the world series.
Unless we know people's real names we can't always find out if they are still with us or not.
I do not have anyway to know real names or even their private email addresses to check on people.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

I don't think Vivian was still here for the pandemic - think her cancer won earlier on. Still miss her too.

This thread has reminded me that it's October--breast cancer awareness month.
I lost a friend to breast cancer back in May, and I would like to remind everyone
that cancer is like a killer that is just waiting to sneak into your house..
It can get in, but the sooner you can catch it, the better chance you have to beat it.
Know your odds--heredity, environmental factors, etc.
Then get checked as often as you can--and pay attention to any changes in your body.
Never let fear prevent you from being proactive.

She died last year 2019 in the spring I think it was. She was a big baseball fan of the Washington Nationals. She lived in Arlington, VA and would often go to the baseball games. We always had our little voodoo doll war when the Nats played the Cardinals. It was a joke we had between us. When the Nats made it to the World Series last year my husband and I would joke about Vivian doing a happy dance and when they won despite the odds....we pretty much figured Vivian had somehow or other made it happen.

Vivian died March 11, 2018 (I'm almost sure it was 2018, not 2019.) I texted with her brother just before he took her FB page down. Her sister and brother took her on a trip to Paris (could be they knew much more than Vivian did) and she died just a few weeks after they came back. She told me what a wonderful time she had in Paris. I was stunned when I found out she passed. I spoke to her the week before and she sounded relatively fine.

Has it been that long? Time flies. I don't doubt you. It seems like it was just last year. I honestly couldn't remember except that it was close to spring.
The days go by faster and faster don't they?

Scarily (is there such a word) so! Since March the days roll into one another. Half the time I don't know if it's Monday or Thursday, or the date. I wake up and before I know it, it's 12:30 a.m., and I'm back in bed. It's just so weird. I think it affects men in a different way. My H seems to go on with his day much differently. Like it's just more of the same, different day. Women I chat with say the same thing. I want that pill!

I especially noticed the absence of Zoocrew and Sheriff because they posted almost daily and then abruptly stopped, not so much tapering off as much as just overnight, no posts.
I am hoping that they will return to posting here sometime. Sheriff has a very welcoming and humorous approach and certainly adds a lot to any forum, and Zoocrew has a way of communicating with people who are struggling that is very no nonsense but also very caring. I miss seeing both of them posting here.
Grace doesn't post as frequently but I don't recall her being away for this long in the past. Grace always has the most unique and often quite brilliant take on things. I so enjoy reading her posts and I hope that she is well.
I clearly recall 49er. I PM'd her a few times after she got the diagnosis. She struck me as being someone I could easily be friends with, I was very saddened by the news of her death.

One of the persons who I was told passed has Sheriff in their name, but don't know the rest of their name. How many Sheriffs do we have here?
