Airsense 10 WiFi and SD card

Post by Nevergiveup13 » Sun Sep 13, 2020 9:04 am

I am a newbie and have been using my CPAP for about a week. I went in for a mask change Friday and now none of my data is showing up. There are 2 bars. In requested a SD card so if I put that in does anyone know if WiFi and SD card can both work to save my data? Thanks,

None of your data is showing up WHERE? Transmitted through Cellular Modem (Not WiFi)? On SD card? On your machine's screen?

I'm having trouble understanding what you're asking.

You're describing a lot of unrelated things and linking them together.

The AirSense 10 is not WiFi it's Cellular. Did your data not show up at your doctor/clinic, on ResMed's MyAir website or mobile app?

If you're asking about using an SD Card, then the answer is yes, get any SD Card, download OSCAR and you can get very detailed data. Read the links in the the pinned topics to get started.

If you're asking if you can use a WiFi enabled SD Card, then the answer is Yes, but only the Toshiba FlashAir SD card. That's the only one I'm aware of that is supported by a utility to move the data from the Card to your local computer for import into OSCAR.

If the OP has the machine selected in the equipment profile...and it's not transmitting via cellular service (WiFi isn't used by the machine) the hours of use to the DME...good excuse to return it and demand a full data machine.

Sounds to me like he went to DME for a mask exchange or fitting and the DME probably checked for the data via the way they do things and the OP was told "no data"....well that's the DME's problem if that is what happened.

The presence of a SD card or lack of presence isn't the reason the DME can't access the data via the MyAir thing. Either they didn't register it or the machine is faulty and not transmitting and it should be replaced.

Sorry for the confusion. I have had my CPAP for a week and a half. It was working fine and I could see my information in my Resmed app then since Friday with the new mask I cannot see any information on the app.

I have Resmed SD card that I requested when I got my machine.

There are 2 bars of cellular service on your machine and the machine is plugged in and working fine.

I am asking

1.why would my data not show up for the last 2 days and any ideas how to fix that?
2. If the Resmed SD card is in the machine will cellular data pick up the data from the machine and from the SD card.

I need to figure most the Oscar software but can’t focus on that right now. I am feeling overwhelmed and exhausted still from getting used to the CPAP. I slept the first couple of nights but am having problems with my mask.

Thanks for the help.

Transmission of data to MyAir is not related to an SD Card that may or may not be present in your ResMed. They are unrelated.

Your visit Friday is likely unrelated to your data showing or not showing up on MyAir. (Unless your were given a loaner machine and it was switched out Friday, which you likely would have mentioned)

My Data usually shows up about an hour or so after my sleep session ends, but occasionally I've seen it take longer.

Are you sure, you are missing two days of data, and it's not just yesterdays data that hasn't shown up yet?

What is the date on the last MyAir session presented?

Assuming your data is current, remember, the date presented on MyAir will be the date the sleep session typically starts, not the current date.

My data from last night is dated Saturday, 12 September.

Today being Sunday, Sept 13, If:
  • your last MyAir date is Saturday Sept 12, you are current.
  • your last MyAir date is Friday Sept 11, last nights sleep session isn't ready yet.
  • your last MyAir date is Thursday Sept 10, you are two days behind. Which is what you're alleging

Just so you know, though I'm sure it'll infuriate jnk when we try to help someone understand something better, the Airsense 10 doesn't use WiFi, it doesn't go through the internet like normal things, it has a cellular modem in it, which is why you never had to hook it up to your home wifi. :)

So, how well it connects back to Resmed to transfer data isn't really anything you can control, other than exactly where you place the machine.

You can use just about any SD card in the machine, including the toshiba flashair WiFi SD cards, at which point, your cpap *would* have WiFi.

As to your question #2, having the SD card in the machine has no effect whatsoever on the cellular transmission.

I'd suggest you get Oscar, and look at the data from the SD card, it's so much more useful compared to myair.

Thanks for the help.
Instead of a "Thanks" in advance, what's preferred is an acknowledgement of whether the advise actually did help.

As much as many posters want to treat their question or current problem as their own. Often they're not. Other people experience similar problems and some topics can be of benefit to many CPAPTalk readers.

When you Hit-and-run as you just did you do a great disservice to those who have attempted to help you, and those who have found the topic because they are experiencing the same thing. Nobody knows whether the advice worked or not.

Thanks for all of the advice and sorry if I haven’t replied so quickly. The cell service must have eventually worked because everything showed up finally about 3 days later. I am going to figure out the Oscar software but first need to get a sd card reader for my computer.

The usb pluggable SD card readers are very cheap and easy to find.
