Rapid Sternum Tapping
Re: Rapid Sternum Tapping
Also of course still concerned about that whole alien situation.
Re: Rapid Sternum Tapping
No - nothing unusual there.

No idea. I'd probably turn the max pressure down a bit, and see a doctor.

Glad I can at least serve as comic relief. It’s good to have a purpose in life lol.
Back to reality, very early this morning my wife happened to have her hand positioned on my chest, at & below my sternum area. She distinctly felt what she described as a “buzz”. Twice. So at least I’m not experiencing a psychosomatic hallucination. Whatever this is, it’s real.

You need an extended ECG stat. Doctor's order from the doctor trying to get to sleep next to me.grounded wrote:Glad I can at least serve as comic relief. It’s good to have a purpose in life lol.

Comforting! Based on that I just completed a video visit with my primary (who my sleep tech sent me to). He says it's heart palpitations. Awesome!
They're having me come in tomorrow. Could be relatively nothing? It keeps happening tho....

Re: Rapid Sternum Tapping
Although heart palpitations are usually a harmless nuisance, they can be more.
My mother had them for years, always dismissed by the small-town doc.
Then she saw a doctor in a bigger city, and boom! Pacemaker.
She felt like a new woman, it was way more than "female trouble" . . .

Doc says "Why do random strangers on the internet listen to my medical recommendations, but not you?" Good question.grounded wrote:Comforting! Based on that I just completed a video visit with my primary (who my sleep tech sent me to). He says it's heart palpitations. Awesome!

My dear father-in-law was a pediatrician. He had five kids. Whenever one of his kids was sick, he told my MIL she should take them to see a doctor.Doc says "Why do random strangers on the internet listen to my medical recommendations, but not you?" Good question.

It's more than possible she went into child psychiatry on the theory it would be the most useful speciality for looking after me.zonker wrote:rcobourn wrote: ↑Tue Aug 11, 2020 3:00 pmDoc says "Why do random strangers on the internet listen to my medical recommendations, but not you?" Re: Rapid Sternum Tapping
Well today my primary dragged a stethoscope across my chest, did a 5 second EKG, chest X-ray and called it good. He says I sure seem healthy. Thought maybe my body is just trying to reach equilibrium now that I’ve finally been hovering around a decent BP with my big drug cocktail I’m now taking daily.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Tue Aug 11, 2020 2:51 pmAlthough heart palpitations are usually a harmless nuisance, they can be more.
Maybe this is simply what aging is: a series of symptoms that keep piling on that’ll be with you the rest of however many days you have left. Nothing ever goes away - you learn to live with it and manage as best you can....

Pretty sure when doc said extended she meant more than 5 seconds.grounded wrote:Well today my primary dragged a stethoscope across my chest, did a 5 second EKG, chest X-ray and called it good.
