Hey guys
I ordered myself a new airsense 10 autoset for her from the US and I tried it out last night for the first time. Seemed to work pretty well except there was a noise the obvious immediately.
The machine has a fairly low level hum but then on inhale it makes a type of wheezing sound. I thought maybe it just needs to warm up but it went all night. After about 5 hours I gave up and turned it off.
My s9 autoset that I had for around 7 years never did the wheezing thing and any slight noise it did make was much softer than the constant hum of this thing.
Firstly is this normal (surely not)? If this isn't normal, does anyone know how to fix it? Is it likely to be the machine itself or could it be the water tub?
Also I am in Australia, does anyone have any experience with machines they bought from the US that arrived faulty
Cheers
Airsense 10 making noise
Re: Airsense 10 making noise
Should not be making that noise...Airsense 10 machines are very quiet....At least as quiet as your S9.

Re: Airsense 10 making noise
I've heard multiple reports of noises like that when the water chamber isn't properly seated, try a little water based lubricant on the seals that the water tank mates with inside in the right end of the machine.

I have the same problem, and I can tell you that you didn't have to get a machine sent from the US to get a dodgy one. You could have got one right here in Aust., which is exactly what I did!! My new one had the same problem, as does its replacement. I've got to the point where I have no idea if the noise is actually supposed to be there or not! Have seen a lot of complaints of the same issue everywhere on the net.
I'll keep an eye on this thread. I have one going on the same topic.
Good luck.
