OSCAR analysis assistance

Post by Josiah » Mon Jul 06, 2020 8:56 am

I hate to admit that I'm not up to the task, but I just don't see myself ever acquiring the knowledge to thoroughly analyze and understand my OSCAR output. I would ideally like to engage someone who does have the expertise to help me. I would hope that this would be a fee for service arrangement because I'd rather not be beholden to the kindness of strangers. I would appreciate any recommendations the group can provide. Thank you.

Post your charts in this topic.

People will comment. Ask questions. That is one of the roles of this forum.

Paying a fee for service from forum members is a bad idea and I don't think any of the regular posters would be interested. There is a lot of expertise here and that expertise and experiences are shared willingly. Being paid to provide personal medical advice is a grey area and raises huge ethical and legal concerns.

Josiah, speaking for myself, I get a lot of personal satisfaction out of trying to help other people with apnea, just as I've gotten a lot of help myself from other people on this board. I suppose in one way we're strangers, but I think of the people here as a community, where we can all give and receive help.

So I do hope you'll post a typical daily chart or two!

i've said this from time to time, but i don't think i've said it recently.

i've been on the forum for five years. i have a "big mouth" (or at least my zonker persona does). i reply a lot here in the forum. a new user may come in and think from what i say that i know more than i do. that's not the case.

one of the big gaps in my knowledge is the oscar program and sleepyhead before that. i know very little about the program. in fact, i find myself sometimes startled when folk like dog slobber or palerider or pugsy will spot something in a posted chart. mainly because i either didn't see what they saw or if i did, i misinterpreted it.

bottom line is that i really don't care. obviously, i've had five years to do it. alas, i haven't and probably won't. instead, if something comes up, i post a chart here and invite comment. then i take suggestions to improve my therapy.

in your case, you can do the same. then ask more penetrating questions to get a better understanding.

good luck!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.
