Can you give more detailed information about what your asking? You say you have a new born? Have you had a sleep study? Are you using CPAP now? If so, what is your pressure? What machine are you using? I think if you could give a little more information there are a lot of people around here who are very helpful.

Do you have insurance? You really need to go and get an exam, there may be more going on with you.
What kind of CPAP/mask do you have and do you use every night?

Crash,
Where are you from? The law can be very unforgiving about sleep-related crashes. You are endangering not only yourself, but others. I can relate to the work thing, for my job was in jeopardy for falling asleep. I do hope you get plenty of help. It's stressful, but hang in there.
It's important you get more help, as was said here. Maybe there's some form of disability you can get while your health improves, I don't know. It's not a good idea for everybody (and I would think long and hard about it), but you might get a doctor's note explaining your problem to your employer. And depending on where you live, there is some federal paperwork you can fill out for them that might help protect you in case they try and fire you.
I don't mean to scare you. But you do need to press your doctor for more help. It's important to your life and those around you. Ask the doctor about disability. Don't give up. And feel free to keep asking questions here. People here are very supportive.

Crash,
Hopefully you're sound asleep now and getting much needed rest.
Yes, it is hard to talk about, especially to people who don't have this condition. Even the closest friends and family can't relate entirely unless they have it, no matter how caring and supportive they are. With any condition, it's always reassuring to find people with the same problems. And you can learn alot from this discussion site. There are people on here with a lot of experience with the treatment, etc. Feel free to keep asking questions or expressing how you feel, especially if it helps. This must be horrible for people who don't have or use the internet. Feeling alone with this is just awful. Keep in touch. Let us know how things go, if you like.

It sounds like you aren't getting enough therapy. Either the pressure is wrong, or you are having really bad mask leaks (with the gel mask at 20, it wouldn't suprise me!) First thing I would do is get back with your dme or doc and tell them what is going on.
You probably also want to talk to your doctor about narcolepsy or perhaps some sort of minor seizure disorder. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that you're having a seizure which then scrambles your brain enough that you don't remember anything except waking up, and assume you fell asleep.
Yes, it's very possible that you're just not sleeping well with the CPAP equipment, and perhaps need to switch to a different pressure, or an Auto machine or maybe a more comfortable mask.
But I think in your case I'd want to rule out something more serious.
Liam, who only falls alseep during meetings.
