Unfortunately I don't see anything standing up screaming "fix me and you will feel better".
Pretty much an unremarkable report.
Well, its good to know that I can eliminate something from my checklist. Im committed to getting this problem under control. Im going to keep trying things until I've identified the source. Thank you!

Just wanted to update you guys. I ended up powering through another difficult day yesterday and avoided having a nap. I went to bed last night an hour earlier than normal and I also took the advice here and had 2000mg of vitamin c and 10 mg of melatonin. I ended up sleeping strongly for 7 hours and then dozed in and out until my normal wake up time of 7:45am. I continued my light therapy today but I’ve felt amazing. I literally haven’t once had to fight a major battled with energy luls. Hopefully this continues.

So the 10mg of melatonin seemed to help?

Sadly, melatonin us not a one size fits all.
Some need a larger dose--some smaller.
Others get unpleasant side effects.
Trial and error is the wisest course--start small, observe, and realize you may not always need it at all.

Posting here as I have had very long term issues of unrefreshing sleep, fatigue to the point of being homebound (after a long time). My OSA is treated now but I still had remaining unrefreshing sleep and fatigue. I got a private pulse oximeter test and it showed up periodic Limb Movement disorder, my heart rate was peaking at regular intervals. This means I wasn't getting refreshing sleep.
Hiya, could you please say if you dont mind which pulse oximeter you used? I'm following this thread with great interest and especially your mentioning fatigue and PLMD. So increased heart rate would point to PLMD?

To assist the original poster and others, how did you eventually treat your PLMD?

I don't believe increased heart rate is related to PLMD.

PatOnCPAP,
I also don't know of any connection between PLMD and increased heart rate.

You might try some magnesium and see if that helps.
I have read that for restless leg (which a quick google said has some similarities and might be related to PLMD), magnesium works. However, try different dosages, many products like CALM have a very low amount of magnesium.
I have muscle tension (not PLMD) and magnesium helps with this - I am taking a pretty high dose though to get relief, 450mg of magnesium aspartate, both AM & PM. Side effects if you take too much is loose stools, so if you get that back off some (or a bunch). Even with my high dose, my blood tests show I am in the lower third of the "normal" magnesium range.
