Compliance and MyAir with multiple machines?

Post by Bubba in NC » Mon May 25, 2020 7:53 am

I picked up a spare ResMed Autosense with very low hours as a backup. If I decide to use it, does changing the machine serial number in MyAir also let my insurance company, DME and neurologist know I've changed machines? Once, my original DME supplier checked compliance while I was on the phone ordering supplies. Who does one need to notify and how?

No.

During your compliance period, don't use your other machine. Or use it only when you know you are well within you compliance amounts.

Some have reported having trouble registering used machines to MyAir, because they are registered to someone else. I can't recall seeing a solution to get it unregistered.

It can be done but it's complicated and a lot of work that has to be done by a DME and maybe the original registering DME and we all know how DME's feel about extra work.
It isn't something that we as the end user can do....DME or doctor has to contact ResMed to get a machine de-registered so that it can then be registered to someone else.
