Could someone who owns this machine (goodknight 420e) answer a couple of questions for me? First can you determine the average pressure the auto pap reached without the software? Also are there any limits to which mask can be used with this machine?

You need the software to monitor the data. The data and cable package is very reasonable at cpap.com. As far as the mask compatability, I have used just about all mask variations with my machine with equally good result, but you results may vary. The best method is to be able to monitor the data and see how each mask type works for you.

I use the 420E. I use the Swift nasal pillow mask, seems to work for me.

I have the software, I check it every day or so, good part of the software (once you get it installed and figure it all out), is keeps I think off top of my head, 200 events, and when I save it to my computer, I can actually go back and see my progress, lack of, or what night was problematic and why, a good way to keep account of myself. CPAP.com can walk u thru the purchase what not....
Once you get it installed correctly, it's easy enuf to monitor.........good luck.
