Hello,
I've been suffering from aerophagia for a while have started using the Sleepyhead app to optimize my setup. I see that OSCAR is the current software, but it doesn't run on OSX apparently.
I raised my max psi from 14 to 20 and turned on the 'relief' exhale pressure feature to 3.
I also tried to raise my min pressure to address the snore data but it seemed to increase aerophagia almost immediately.
Here is a sample day BEFORE those changes. I would appreciate any advice:
Thanks,
Mike

What position were you in when all those snores got flagged? On your back maybe?
How are you sleeping and feeling in general? Are those snores waking you up a lot?
You might check out investing in a soft cervical collar and see if it helps with the snores and maybe you can get by without increasing the minimum pressure since more pressure means a significant problem with aerophagia issues.
That would be the first thing I would try.
How much reduction in the snores did you get with the increase in the minimum? Can you share one of those detailed reports?
A report with a minimum that is higher that you can tolerate without belly issues?

Oscar was designed on a Mac and I DL'd it long ago onto my iMac... where are you running into trouble?

Re: Newbie asking for help with Sleepyhead data
I'm feeling OK except for the aerophagia. I probably wouldn't be digging in if it weren't for that.
It's possible I'm on my back while snoring. I'm generally a side/stomach sleeper. I've ordered the neck brace thing to test with.
I'll take another look at installing OSCAR on mac; thanks, Julie.
Here are the last two nights. Last night I had the min pressure to 5, an increase from 4, the 'relief' exhale pressure feature to 3, c-flex(?) on
Ignore the data until ~12:30am; I was awake or nearly awake and it was blasting me with 18psi for some reason. I thought it was just the higher min pressure until I went to turn it back to 4 and saw 18.5! I'm assuming that is why the AHI is so high.
Sunday night - started with min pressure at 7 then had to keep adjusting down due to aerophagia, the 'relief' exhale pressure feature to 3, a-flex on
Thank you thank you thank you
Mike

You might want to be making an appt with your doctor to discuss the aerophagia issues along with your pressure needs and the possibility of your maybe needing a bilevel pressure machine to help you out.

Thank you for your reply Pugsy. I'm having fun reviewing the data and testing. I think I'm making progress. I plan to reach out to the DR if progress plateaus.

OSCAR runs fine on Mac OS, provided it's relatively new.mbruce2009 wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 11:40 amI've been suffering from aerophagia for a while have started using the Sleepyhead app to optimize my setup. I see that OSCAR is the current software, but it doesn't run on OSX apparently.
OSCAR requires at least 10.12 - Sierra (2016), while SleepyHead requires at least 10.7 - Lion (2011)
