Absolutely! CRS(CPAP Resistance Syndrome) seems to be one of the leading causes of CPAP therapy failure amongst newbies.

And AMISS has so much CRS, no current will flow. Resistance slows Current Flow. Jim

Yes, and I think we often see CRS in conjunction with SADS (Sleep Apnea Denial Syndrome).

I have been using CPAP for almost three years. Loved it in the beginning but extreme fatigue is setting in and also sever early wake syndrome and insomnia . It seems my mind is hyper and wired . I have been researching a lot for Chronic Fatigue and cognitive difficulties !! . Electric magnetic fields have come onto my radar . I had the smart meter removed from my home . It has not been on very long. I got a meter and WOW the reading for the CPAP machine not even in use were off the charts . I am ordering an outlet filter to see if that will help .

I the CPAP company and I now have it on AIRPLANE MODE as it transmits information to the CPAP company for compliance .

SO COULD IT BE for near 3 years I have had transmitions going on , sort of like a cell phone next to your head for 8 , 9 hours a day 360 days a year ! SO now I am on the hunt for other's who also suspect CPAP extreme fatigue and sleep problems . Since I turned it on Airplane Mode , I have noticed improved sleep , I now DRAEM again, less fatigue and anxiety in the morning . BUT the EMF's measured my the meter are high. I will see if the Filters on the outlet help .

There were some reports of state troopers now using vehicle-mounted radar guns, as opposed to hand held;
due to high incidence of testicular cancer among patrolmen who held the guns close to the "family business".
Maybe urban myth--but why take chances?

City Police here don't have that problem, they don't have any balls. They make their money by enforcing the Seat Belt instead. Jim

If someone feels that taking a particular action improved their health and isn't generalizing their experience to everyone else, I am not sure I understand what the problem is.

As far as consulting doctors vs. googling a problem, yeah, that would be ideal. Unfortunately, that doesn't always work as evidenced by a person on a FB group I belong to who has been blown off by 10 doctors even though her symptoms are screaming for a diagnosis.

I often wake up pretty awake from a mask malfunction, etc... feeling bright eyed one could say. I can usually get back to sleep, but of course it's still interrupting my sleep. I think the symptoms of Sleep apnea are far more wide reaching than most literature would suggest, the docs seem pretty clueless. I think Sleep "resistant" syndrome is partially a really fancy name for "PTSD" essentially most apnea sufferers servere ones at least have a host of memory, endocrine/neurotransmitter malfunctions. For instance do you know Creatine is high at nighttime for apnea sufferers? Creatine is the catalyst for energy exchange... Even after therapy this malfunction is in place to help utilize energy and survive the night... it's no wonder that we have trouble sleeping after starting therapy. Personally I've started to suppliment with Creatine before intense work outs, hopefully in order to train my body to do it at the right time. I've also started a PTSD therapy regimen to acknowledge the fear and hyper vigilance caused by essentially having panic attacks during the night for so long (remembered or not as in my case... oxygen was usually too low to remember anything, especially considering the "half asleep" state. )
Instead of Sleep apnea it should be called "Sleep deprivation, starving of oxygen, being poisoned by high CO2 levels, damaging the body and brain while it's supposed to be healing so that you constantly get worse and can never get healthy Apnea"

Stumbled on this old post while researching my own issues and, man, never realized CPAP users could be so cultlike as to deny outright that some people get no relief from CPAP. I was and remain on CPAP for years and because of attitudes like yours it took me more years than that to get diagnosed with my main, primary hypersomnia that was obscured by the fact that I had moderate OSA. Are you all really completely unaware that there are other hypersomnia disorders out there? I guarantee you that, if OSA is masking a primary hypersomnia like Narcolepsy 2 or IH, no CPAP is going to make someone feel better. Even if your main source of hypersomnia is OSA there is a greater than zero chance you will still suffer from EDSS requiring medication for life.

You all come off as closed minded, unscientific people. Your anecdotal success is not a substitute for research.

why, THANK you. always good to have someone come into my house, pull down his pants and @#%$ on my rug.

i'm sure you have all kinds of scientific advice for us, don't you?

you'd best get busy and start reading. there is just SO much more you can tell us!!

ETA: also, you are reading this WAY out of context. take a look at some of the other posts the original poster made. she spent much time here and often displayed her unwillingness to follow any of the advice given.

maybe it wasn't scientific enough?

You're so correct. Clearly CPAP solves all woes and anyone who says otherwise is either nuts or doing it wrong. Mea culpa.

Also, "get busy and start reading" is an odd piece of advice for someone diagnosed by actual neurologists, but ok.

Probably best not to use as your inspiration a trash post from a forum troll.

Begone, troll, this is a *CPAP HELP FORUM*, says so right up there at the top of the page, and even in the URL, (since you seem to have trouble with either reading or comprehension (or maybe both) I thought I'd point out the obvious).

If you have a CPAP and want HELP, then we're your place, if not, then, oh, I dunno,
YOU'RE IN THE WRONG PLACE

"Troll" = "someone I disagree with." Got it.

Believe me, I wouldn't direct anyone to a CPAP "help" forum where the "help" consists of telling people who aren't responding well to CPAP treatment that they're idiots who don't know how to use a CPAP. Don't worry,I shan't be back to your little Mean Girl clique forum... I hope no one else with sleep issues unwittingly stumbles upon it.

Look behind you.
What do you see?
It's a door.
Doors work both ways.
Hope that helps with your problem.
