Dreamstation AutoPAP Service Required 032318 - 05330

Post by stewharr » Fri May 08, 2020 6:46 pm

Early this morning we had a short power blip (2 seconds) and my wife's Dreamstation AutoPAP went off and when it came back on it had a message:
Service Required
032318 - 05330

She got her machine through her sleep doctor, who wasn't in the office today. I was hoping someone could shed some light on this error code for me. I"ve looked through the service manual and can't seem to find this code listed. And since I don't have access to their software nor do I have the adapter module I can't pull codes from the machine that could be cross referenced in the service manual. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Did you unplug the machine for a count of 20, then plug it back in?
DME's are rarely open on the weekend.

Yes. I unplugged and left unplugged for 10 minutes and plugged back in. Same result.

As many people here have learned, things tend to go wrong at the worst time. That is why we recommend you have spares of everything on hand, including machines. My machine quit on me when we were out of town and I did not have one to use for three nights. Luckaly, mine was still under warranty so my DME replaced it as soon as I got back home. Since my wife also uses a machine, we keep two of everything on hand including spare machines. I found one spare machine here on this forum, and the other one on Facebook Marketplace.

Indeed! DME's observe bankers' hours--as if we only slept in the daytime, M-F.
What is wrong with this picture?---EVERYTHING!
Backup equipment is ESSENTIAL, because Murphy never takes a day off.
