Eye Masks...

Post by joeljjk11 » Thu Apr 23, 2020 12:32 pm

Do you wear one? I have one coming in the mail tomorrow, I have higher pressures and I feel like the venting on the Airfit P10 blows into my eyes causing dry eyes. We will see if this resolves the dry eyes that I always have. What is everyone's experience with an eye mask? Did it help your dry eyes or help you sleep better at least?

Eye masks might work if they could be sealed around the nose and bottom edge.
Most do not fit that well--(well, my face . . . )
I tried swim goggles, but I had to punch holes in the outside edge to equalize pressure.
That worked perfectly as long as they stayed in place.

I've tried many eye masks due to being very sensitive to lights but none of them stayed in place.
After years of buying countless different eye maks to try I came up with an idea of just using a black tshirt to cover my eyes and it has worked perfectly for me. Complete coverage of eyes with no light leakage, doesn't have a strap so doesn't come off and much more comfortable.
From my experience slightly thicker and tougher fabric works best, you should try it too.

I have a sleep phone head band, and I cover my eyes with it because we don't have room darkening window coverings. I'm not sure it would help for air blowing into my eyes from the mask, though.

i use one. not for air venting, just to help shield my eyes from light.

i bought some multiple pack of cheap ones on amazon. i found the elastic straps where uselees so cut them off and use a scunci headband over the top to hold it in place.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

I hope the mask you have ordered does the trick.
If it does not, I suggest you try your ophtalmologist or the dry eye shop.

Another alternative might be to ask for suggestions for other nasal masks that work well for high pressures and don't blow into the eyes.

or...

or...

You could try a full face mask like mine. :D
